I asked this over in the Medieval Madness WIP thread but it might get more looks here. This is my current system in my cab

  • Intel i5 2500k
  • GTX 460 Video Card
  • 8 GB Ram

It appears with MM and Americans Most Haunted its time to upgrade my video card to be able to play them with all the bells and whistles enabled. What's everyone running video card wise that can play these tables at the proper framerate with all the extras enabled?

I'm really loving some of the new additions- one thing that i was wondering if anyone had any solutions for or if it might be added as a feature is to lock the editing focus on an item. IE if I am trying to shape a rubber around a primitive, often it will select the primitive instead of the wall when i move control points. the same applies to walls that are atop others. Does anyone else have issues with this? Thanks

Yes, have that issue as well.  The other thing that might be nice is when adjusting control points on a light is to still have the ring showing the falloff distance stay visible.

I use layers to obscure the primitive or temporarily move the primitive, I shape rubbers around the walls round.

Very nice the new targets :) But there is a small bug: if you change the X or Y size and then rotate it the target gets distorted. I simply tried to make new targets for the Zelda table, and they are a little wider than normal, so I increased the X size and they look nice as long as I don't rotate them. Then they look like trapezoids. I guess it is a small fix :)

Thanks Fuzzel! :D

PS: Mmmm, I can't start the program. It just says "vpinball.exe has stopped working". I tried several tables with the same result. Even creating a new table produces the crash.

I use a GTX 650ti, I think a GTX 750 should suffice for you and they're pretty cheap... http://www.amazon.co...eywords=gtx 750

Do you have a crash dump? And did you update all dlls which came with the archive?

Yes, I have copied all the dlls. Do you mean you can start the exe and create a new table? It simply crashes in my computer.

If you don't update the DLLs then VP will crash. It's because the SciLexerVP.dll was updated a few revisions back and VPX relys on it.

I have downloaded the zip file again, unpacked everything and now it works (?!) I always unpack all the dlls. Anyway, it works now :) Strange.

Thanks! I saw this card and read some decent reviews about it. Seems this will work.

I deleted one set of the pac lights by drag selecting the set on that layer. An undo brought them back one at a time, but only 16 of them. Can a group delete be undone all at once, or at least the undo limit be made to set to the number of elements deleted.

Are surface or sub surface lights really going to have to be drawn on the playfield picture in the end?

I see you use the newest win 10. Did you update the driver after you updated win 10? I don't trust their update process ;)
