No real receiver? I think I will use mine but will not be functional to tilt the playfield up. How far does your monitor come to the front panel? Having some issues there. With my monitor touching the front panel, I have about 3 1/2" of room to the cab top where the backbox mounts. I suppose I could push the playfield monitor closer to the backbox. Something just looks off with mine, I posted some updated pics. How did you lay out the plunger? Thats gonna be not fun, I suppose all you really need is a hole for the plunger to stick through and some holes for the screws. NICE BUILD(S)!

If it ain't broke, it's probably a good idea to take it apart anyway!

I just post here to hear myself type.

We just thought it was a waste of money to buy a real lock bar receiver...like you say, the play field will not be able to flip up. Our playfield displays goes just under the lock bar, so we have a gap of 1"  in the back. We will just angle the flasher/strobe panel that inch to fill the gap.
We just drilled one larger hole for the plunger, and three smaller holes for the screw mounts...then cut slots between the holes.....it was pretty easy.

Thanx....i think our builds will turn out pretty nice in the end, as we try to build them as close to a real machine, buy taking measures from real ones. :)

I bought a real reciever assembly, even though I haven't started the wood working yet I regret buying it. If I'm going to mount a fire button on top of the lockdown bar I can't use it :(

It may be possible to cut a hole so I can fit a leafswitch in there somewhere. I'll have to take a closer look when the time comes.. but my first priority is to get my cab cnc cut.

Maestro, Zany or anyone else that may have in-site with solenoids. I am using one of Zebs PACLED virtual output boards that uses 24volt for the solenoids. My questions is on what solenoids might work best I like the open frame solenoids I have seen used in the topic due to price and the different sounds that are possible and would like to find a 24V solution. Not as many bracketed solutions for 24v Solenoids. I found this one and wanted any opinions on it.

Not completely sure what the adjustable holding is and I am assuming the 10mm is the throw distance. Not to sure of the 5N designation as well.

Zany! sorry if im hijacking your Topic just thought it best to ask where I have seen a lot of solenoid discussion.

You don't have to use 24v for the solenoids, you could still connect the solenoids to the board but instead of using the 24v output, just connect them to a 12v line from your psu

Agreed but then ill need to add diodes to each one which isnt a big deal just thought it would look better and a little less work having to put those in-line. If anyone thinks the ones I mentioned above isnt the way to go then i will probably go as you suggest. Thanks for the response.

Looking good Zany! I especially like the shot with the road in the background, very "pinball-al-fresco" style
