what order number you at now noah?

I'm wondering this too. 3 to 4 weeks has become 5 weeks already.

Yes, I believe that more realistic estimate would be in order. Considering the long-awaited quality, I see nothing wrong in taking a bit longer to manufacture, but the estimate should reflect the real state of things.

:)

Unfortunately changing the tube position does not seem to fix my calibration issue... I have tried it 3-4 different positions and still the calibration of Z-axis is gone quite soon. Is someone else still having this problem / any more ideas how to fix it?  Or has the tube position fixed this for others as well (if so -> how much have you moved the tube? Maybe I have still missed the correct spot...)

It's getting quite frustrating because in the worst case during 1-2 games the calibration loss can cause the ball not to exit from the shooter lane anymore (and it needs to be unplugged/plugged again to work for another 1/2 hour).

Sorry guys, for not replying to these posts much. This week I broke two personal 'records'. Most hours worked in a day (27, though it spilled into the next day) and most hours in a week ( 118 ). I'm doing everything I can to get plunger kits out next week to everyone and RMA those who need it. For those interested, the RMAs have been minimal, so the kits have been quite stable. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Same here teppotee. It didn't help to mess with the tube. Calibration tends to shrink over about 1/2 hour of play. Fortunately I have the Launch button also. But it's a drag when I have to use it. Un-plugging the device is a temp fix.

If the later batches are better and no one else is having this issue, I think I will order another one. I'm totally cool with supporting this product.

I might be somebody from the early deliveries, but I'm experiencing the same.
The 30 minutes time frame seems to be somehow the edge.

Today I recognized another issue I haven't had before.
The controller is recognized by OS, but no access to OS calibration details is possible and it is not working at all in VP. Neither nudging nor the plunger.
Before it helped to change the USB port, but shall I change it again? I used a front port before, but changed it to a rear port for final installation and it worked properly for several days or even weeks.
Haven't had the time to dig deeper, but as I haven't changed anything in hardware setup or OS settings I'm wondering why it stopped working from one day to the other...

I'm on Windows 7 64 bit and I see no calibration options either. I do remember seeing them in WindowsXP.

I had that too, this helped:

http://forum.pjrc.co...30911#post30911

I can't remember if the vid vales were the same, but basically a registry clear out of the "right" USB elements made my control panel pop back to life (win7 64bit).

Sorry to hear the tube movement didn't fix the loss of calibration, it really seemed to help mine.

Made some more tests today.
Moving the tip in any direction didn't helped at all.
Currently I only have the front USB port I used initially that is functioning at all. All back ports are showing no calibration details in control panel and the device isn't working in VP.
To remember: the device was working for more than a week at the back port. I'm very restrictive with any changes on my cab. Once I have a working setup I'm not messing around with any settings.
This is also the reason why I currently don't try out the hint from frl. Messing around the registry doesn't seem to me a valid option when a device stops working without any change done on the system setup.

@noah: sorry to hear your are extremly busy actually. Reading you already had some RMA I'm wondering if mine is a candidate as well...

@cs2908, mine did the same - worked one minute, stopped the next (as in, the control panel applet stopped working, not the virtuapin itself which always worked even if the control panel didn't). I put it down to the number of unplug / replug cycles I was doing.

When my control panel failed, I attached the vp to my laptop which showed the control panel correctly - confirming an issue with my cabinet PC / OS / driver rather than a hardware issue with the vp. That's what led me to the registry hint which worked for me.

Today I was somehow brave and gave the hint from frl a try and it worked.
It is now properly shown in control panel again even using the back ports.
What unfortunately didn't changed is that it is loosing calibration of the plunger after several minutes and power gets less and less over the time.

Some motherboards out there have wonky voltage on USB ports. I don't suppose you have USB pci card you could try?

Just tried the plunger kit with my laptop. Lost about 20% of the Z-Axis calibration in 10-15 minutes. So looks like it's not related to specific USB port / HW combination.

I'm thinking it's probably the ir component of the tube. I'll send you one out when I get back on town.

Make that two. I'll happily wait patiently for a replacement since it sounds like we have located the source of the issue. Just let me know how and what you need me to provide. I'll even pay for shipping.

Hi everyone,

I just wanted to drop an update regarding the latest shipping news.

Assembly is going well, and all kits pending shipment will be going out this week!

My apologies for the delay.

After this week, we will have surplus, so anyone ordering in the future will not have the pre-order waiting period!

Thank you.

Hi Noah,

Can you just confirm that I can snug it in a Gottlieb-style front plate, and if not, what are my options? I would have ordered last week, but I am waiting for the confirmation on this.

Thanks!

I saw your post, and I tried to find a similar machine at Expo to see if it would be compatible, but was unsuccessful.

Would it be at all possible to send me your plunger, so I can either ensure it works or modify an existing kit to work with it?
