After my first try I thought how to be able to let details still be visible and to have more control for the night touch. I still think there is more possible but here is my second try. I will be testing more options to be able to find even more night atmosphere and still try to let it shine.

Based to the previous step the following steps were done to reach the goal of a medium and an ultra dark playfield picture. Based to how good the previous step was done, I think that the potential is close to its full usage reached. Furthermore the picture does also show a white balanced version. The combination to use a different colour temperature was done but I think the more focused light does look better. If you like to see these tests also to compare I will also upload them.

@bassgeige : Good luck in seeing the ball on those - or maybe we need to implement glow balls as standard ? ;)

From now on. I won't help anyone here at VPF. Please ask Noah why that is.

It was for me interesting to reach the goal. As I am not able to see the whole TOTAN in all its glory, and my TV is set a bit brighter, well, what shall I do. :D

Okay....So here's my take

I personally like when colors temperature & saturation reflects better old school pinball light bulbs. For some it may lack colors or saturation, i guess this is really a personal thing.

My process - In brief: (GIMP)
1) Hue-Chroma adjustment
2) Color Temperature tweaks for slight chroma compensation
3) Color Curves adjustments (RGB) for brightness curve to make the table darker
4) Saturation adjustment to fix some over saturation impression
5) Color Curves adjustments (Blue channel only) for final saturation/temperature compensation

Now I only need visible pictures! I like that you tried to reach an old school pinball lights bulbs look. I was not sure myself if it does look better. Where are your pictures gone?

Annotation: (The Problem is solved by the usage of a new tab and the copied link it works with the mobile device too.)

I can not see them viewing from a mobile device atm. When I touch the https://live.staticf...db3194591_o.png
it does only load, maybe I need to wait longer.

Works opening in a new tab solved it. :)

That’s odd....It does work for me via my mobile. The files are public at Flickr and should to be accessible to all...

It does work for me too now with the mobile device! I had to copy the link and in a new tab in the browser it worked immediately. Thanks!

Very nice, now a large pleasant change is by the visible variety ensured. :-)

It will be very interesting to play them all.

I have just uploaded version 1.0 to this site and vpinball. Hope you all are happy with it! If not, please let Rothbauerw and myself know through the support topic.

There will be a future version with better VR support (ramps, 3d screws, VR room), still have to start on that, ETA unknown.

And the next and final step for Totan will be a VR room. Some early screenshots, I started with the cabinet. This VR room I am going to make by so-called kit-bashing; this means gathering stuff other people made and putting them together and hope that that works. For the cabinet I borrowed some primitives from the VR room 3rdaxis made. I adapted them for the Totan cabinet:

render001_t.jpg

render002_t.jpg

render30_t.jpg

The texture for the cabinet looks like this:

render4_t.jpg

I am trying to keep the polycount low, VR is stressing enough as it is on a PC. The cabinet and backbox are 2k triangles, the metals (rails, legs, door, etc) are 22k triangles. Totan itself pushes 130k triangles, I guess the VR room will easily double that amount. The TAF VR room has about 2M triangles, I think I can stay way below that.
