Here are some updated videos of the solenoid config-- let me know if you have any other questions.

Here are some real sounds from my pinball machine:

For those who sent me questions about wiring.   Very basic video of my wiring (not pretty but functional right now)   Let me know if you have questions on it.

Hi maestro300 .. can I ask you, where I can find the PCV boards? :) thanks!

Unsure where in Spain-- most home improvement stores will carry them.   Its with the exterior house repair (siding) or trimwork.

One more video showing some different solenoid sounds during a solenoid test in VP X (Mr and Mrs Pacman table)    Gives you an idea how each solenoid sounds different.    3rd solenoid sound is the replay knocker (my 11th solenoid)

Now I know what your talking about with pvc trim. Vinyl siding trim. I love those backboxes! Mine is starting to look similar but still needs work. I made my DMD panel a little taller with my backbox being so huge. I had to make it wider for the tv and I thought to also make it taller by the same percent, it would look right. Not so much. I gotta do something to it. I have about 5 inches between the dmd monitor and tv empty. I should have not bought a 32" tv for the backglass. I spent an hour or so looking at different pinball machine backboxes and I gotta say those look like the real thing. NICE WORK!

P.S. You did use 32" tvs, not even de-cased and did you have to mod the plans?

If it ain't broke, it's probably a good idea to take it apart anyway!

I just post here to hear myself type.

Blashyrk...true...that is another fun part.....but first sanding and paint! :D

Viktory....yes....we modified the plans to fit a 32" better. they are about 2" lower. We also changed the width, because of the routed slots on each side.

Zany-- are you using a real DMD or a monitor?   I really like the distance between the DMD and monitor.   Mine is pretty wide (had to use 19" LCD monitor for DMD)

Maestro3000 - Great configuration,Do you run the solenoids at 12v? , I'm tempted to use them instead of my contactors.

12v is all I run (Except for the original knocker which is 24v)    I haven't ever used contactors but have a feeling each would sound nearly the same.   Going the solenoid route allows you to come up with unlimited unique sounds for each one (if you so please)  You can feel the kick in the cabinet sides as well.

Nice pic!

This thread was on page 2, can't let that happen. What spade bit did you use for the countersunk buttons. Kinda looks like 1 1/4" or 32mm.

We decided to not go for a real lock bar solution, because it it did feel pretty pointless-
This is how we solved it after some thinking, and it turned out really nice! :D
To bad the first photo is abit out of focus, but i guess you get the idea! :)
