Just curious for the people who got there plasma DMD's running. What type of wire did you use for everything?

I am trying to troubleshoot my DMD problem and wonder if my 18 gauge normal copper strand wire was the wrong choice.

@Zeb how long do you think it would take to get one of your DMD HV boards to Anchorage, AK, USA?

Still in test mode. Not yet in a permanent installation, but I am currently using 18 gauge for the wiring to and from my HV board. No problem with it.

The Estimates from Canada Post are :

$23.00CAN for 7 day delivery

$40.00CAN for 3 day delivery

In reality...all depends on customs and how busy they are.

:) Scanned back to the beginning of the thread and found this.

The funny thing is, I recognize that circuit. LMAO.  It's a 555 timer circuit, and it will result in a blinking LED.  I couldn't tell you if it's wired up right, or what the period of the blinking is.

OK, cool. I know there are a few others interested as well, so I'll start putting together another order with the manufacturer and will update this thread when I have more info. If anyone else is interested in getting their hands on one, please let me know so I can make sure to order enough of them. :)

Hy Rocco, could you order also a version for German voltages (230v, 50Hz), if it i possible that your manufacturer produce it, I will take one.

Regards,

Tomislav

I'm in for a transformer and Zeb's Super Awesome Power Board  (Does it have an official name yet?) when they are available.

I think that is all I will need.  I've already got the pindmd2 and the vishay dmd.

Back to the garage to blow some fleck into the cabinet paint job. :)

@antropus : thx for your update, while you're in editing :

in  1) Power Supply Board : the first 2 links do not work anymore. I think the right link for zeb power board is : http://zebsboards.co...es/dmdnh-detail

in 7) the second link doesn't work too, as the vendor has nothing to sell it should be safe to remove it completely and maybe to add this one : http://mad-amusement...?id_product=236

I think it was me that nabbed the last DMD Piggy at Pinball Life. At least, I haven't seen another one offered on the website since last summer.

XPin sells a daughter board or bridge that looks like requires the original WPC DMD driver board. It doesn't look like an option.

There are a couple of options based on Stern systems, but they require different input voltages than what is described in this thread.

As far as I can see that leaves Zebulon as the only game in town. He could sell these boards to the pinball aftermarket.

It's that or pay twice the price for a replacement DMD driver board.
