Have you tried playing with the ramp Bias?
Try with values like 50, 100, 200, positive or negative.
Either verify that the ramp has an active material, or that it is an active object.

Nice thankyou, it was the material opacity active. I was using one the default metals, the 0.2 and 0.8 which aren't opaque.

Thank you for your super fast response.
I have already tried twice
I will try again later

I doubt anything can be done (as it could be some sort of VPX/VPVR compatibility issue) but I'll mention it anyway. Remember the 7.1 (enhanced) feature that was introduced with 10.6.2, with it enabled I get the following audio switching issue....
With audio set to 7.1 in (VPX 10.6, VPX 10.7, VPVR, and VPVR 0.7) all is good when switching between version. As soon as I set VPX audio 7.1 to "enhanced" my VPVR audio gets changed to "STEREO" and if I change the stereo to 7.1, it will change my VPX from enhanced to regular 7.1. I remember njk70 saying something about this issue back when but I never really noticed it until lately. Also, tonight I overwrote my 10.6.2 going full blown 10.7 and everything is working great, thanks for that.

Hi
I'm sorry if I missed it in the forum somewhere, but was wondering if someone would post the link to the final VP7 build? I can't seem to find it on Gift Hub...Thank You!

@Toxie @Fuzzel
Now that we got the release part out the door
Can we take a look at the analog nudging?
And what can be done to help you debug it?
If you feel the need to empty your wallet in my direction, i don't have any way to receive it anyways

If you use a version of VPX other than 10.6.2 and 10.7 and use the SSF 7.1 sound mode all other versions (including VPVR) will read that setting as stereo which I think will then reset it to stereo for 10.6.2 and 10.7. I believe they are sharing registry settings, I'd have to store it in a separate registry entry (SSF flag or something) but I don't really know how to do it and I haven't loaded up my vpx dev environment in a long time now. It kinda sucks. VPVR would have to add code to accept that setting (perhaps treat it same as regular 7.1 since SSF probably wouldn't be right for VR). I'm still in kinda an extended cabinet build pause (I bought a new amp, probably will buy 2 more to replace the lepai's that were too flimsy and might put me in a better mood) and not doing much more than lurk forums and download tables for my eventual table library.

Thanks, njk70, VPVR is still a mixed bag especially when it comes to 10.7, you need different shaders to run each 10.6 and 10.7. So if and when the whole thing comes together maybe one of the gurus can figure it out, I hear two, maybe three of the gurus might be looking at VPVR and hopefully this could be a part.

SSF would be kind of odd for VR since even if you have a stubby, it is going to be very short, too short to get any separation
VR is probably best with standard 7.1 with your stubby sitting in the center of a 7.1 sound system (With VPX and not Dolby speaker placement of course)

SSF is awesome in VR, especially if you are using a real cab for a controller
No volume going through the headset, just the SSF sounds from the table.

I dont think a lot of people do that though? Out of all the people using vpxvr?
Some will of course, but most with a full cab will most likely play the cab itself after investing that much into it
Many with VR dont have the space required for a cab, nor the budget for a 2nd gaming PC that wont be doing anything but running a pincab
which is understandable especially in today's GPU market.
If you have a full cab, SSF makes some sense.
If you only have a stubby, not so much, as the SS part of SSF is gone, not enough space in a stubby for the SS part
that leaves only the feed back part.
though id rather have a small DOF setup i think in a stubby as opposed to a pair of exciters
Not to mention, with 600 watts of THX quality 8 channel audio going on
There will be feedback.
Have you ever wondered what WWIII would sound like...

There are so many posts here I'm not sure if anyone has a fix for this... but only with 10.7 (even the latest version) all my dark colors (blacks and dark greys) have shimmering tiny green dots. I have confirmed this is only happening on my 10.7 tables, not 10.6.
With many of the newest tables from VPW, etc being 10.7 only, I am really hoping someone has a fix for this. I will also keep looking online.
Thank you.

Another VPX 10.7 question (thanks in advance for help): I followed NailBusters tutorial on getting 10.7 to work with PinUp Popper (renamed exe as "VpinballX107.exe" and put in VisualPinball folder). Thank you David! The tables play perfectly from the Popper front end now. My issue is that if I try to edit the table script, I get the message "This table was saved with version 10.70 and is newer....". I'm getting this even though I'm doing the editing via the 10.7 exe. Is this a known issue, or another of my special challenges? I would appreciate any tips on editing scripts in VPX 10.7. (Oh, once I do edit the script from 10.7 after getting the warning, then the table will no longer play even when I relaunch in my 10.7 exe. If I replace the edited table file with a clean/unedited copy, then 10.7 exe will launch the table again.)

Editing scripts ? I export the script and use a proper editor ... vim to do my edits. You can without touching the table, replace the script. Just open a cmd prompt - then.
vpinball.exe -extractvbs "tablename.vpx" - outputs a tablesname.vbs
... edit away. BUT, don't forget about that script !!! IF Bord pr. example would update his xxxx_xxxx.vpx and you keep that xxxx_xxxx.vbs (using the exact same name as previous release) It will be loaded and replaced by the built-in script in the vpx file. So, this feature should be used with care.
From now on. I won't help anyone here at VPF. Please ask Noah why that is.
