I woke up this morning with great anticipation to beat the high score challenge since I was so close. But alas, I saw Scutters totally destroyed the top score with a nearly 100M?  I mean, really???  Geez. My hopes and dreams are shattered again this week. :-)

 

I’m still struggling to try and get the Records challenge. Man, that one for some reason is giving me fits.

Glad to get that table out of the way though, really frustrating table, the only one where i've actually considered deliberately draining a ball after lighting a few things in the hope of getting a double scores with the next ball.

Hey Guys,

 

I've never played Soprano's, so downloaded it and got what I believe to be the latest VPX version (32Assassin, 2018). But when I try and play it, it's VERY jittery for me.  I don't have this problem with other tables. I checked other Stern tables like Spiderman, Walking Dead, etc. and none of them have problems.  I checked my FPS (using F11) and it's showing around 45fps for this table!!! No wonder the ball is stuttering everywhere.  I checked many other tables and they are all around 90-110 fps.  Very strange.

 

Any suggestions on why this particular table is giving such low FPS?  I've gone into the table settings, and they don't seem any different from my other tables.

 

If I can't get this fixed, it looks like I may have to skip participating in this weeks challenge.

Maybe b2s backglass not running as exe or maybe no b2s backglass will perhaps help ?

i will have to see what i have that is a conversion of it

Also don't have the table (yet) but also run very high framerate, so sensitive to any studder/jitters. Will report back. Maybe look for lamptimer= in the script and crank it up a bit.  I try not to go any higher than 75.   Helps when you cant figure out anything else.  Could also be called fadetimer

well, i tried the table from vpinball, just 1st link i found

table by itself seems ok, ran fine. also seems to be same version as here.

 

Found several backglasses, one of which is shit
Oh it looks nice, it isnt visually shit, but it also has a bazzilion lamp calls and such for some kind of fantasy effect
seemed way to busy to me, i could see that it was noticeably not helping the table

 

I went for the authentic backglass, which does nothing but light up with a single backlight

which was also on vpinball

 

Sopranos, The (Stern 2005) b2s – VPINBALL.COM

 

Did not notice any issues with the table, as far as performance

 

keep in mind, i force vsync which is 60Hz
i could do devistating things to the overall FPS and still would run good until i started slamming it below 60

Annnd apparently i am submitting all these test as scores LOL

Mine table plays fine as well. 
also have the vsync to 60fps set in visual pinball
Maybe this table has an 'anti alias' or 'brute force' set for you ?
had that with Indiana Jones and was only getting 30 fps
or do you run a pup pack ?

Maybe we should do a weekly challenge per region as well ?
