GGS already has them
nice to see the track of the PCBs ...
mjr had created a draft layout, I had then taken up this idea and created several layouts with various packages, connectors and gerber files..
Because it was not possible to upload these files here in the forum, I had contacted one of the admins (kruge99) how to upload. That was in march, but til today no answer from him. .. uncool behavior.
To upload files here is really a pain..
ok, as result the community here has no pcb-files from me available...
but I had uploaded the files to the german forum :

There it's easy to upload non-picture files

I had a look at what you did in Kicad. It's good work and expands on MJR's original idea. I don't like the floating pin idea much but it is the only way to do it for the HSSOP28 package.
The VQFN32 package is smaller. I see what you did to make it fit by having some smaller pads for those hard to route traces near the chip itself. There is a way to solve the problem using the normal size pads for all the pins. The "trick" is to recognize that 4 of the QFN32 leads are actually not connected. IREF and OUT9 can be routed through those pads and into a via to the bottom layer
I see you added a decoupling cap to bottom of the PCB which is fine. It is strictly not necessary as the "host" PCB should already have a cap for the DIP package.

yes, mike, you are right.
For me it was a consideration between an easier layout with DRC-errors or little more work without errors. I hate DRC-errors ;-)
As I realized that I can't upload the files here at vpforums, I had written the docu in german language, most people on "flippermarkt.de" are german speaking.
I ordered the pcbs at jlcpcb.com but the gerber-files should work also for pcbway.
The most work was to get familiar with the panelizing addon for kicad. But when this is checked, its a great tool.

Who do you mean ? me, MikePinball, mjr?
long time ago I used the original gerber files from mjr from his website and ordered the min amount of 5 PCBs at jlcpcb. They are cheap because the dimension of the pcb is not larger than 10cm and the shipping fee is cheap.
with use of mjr's pcbs you need also adapter-pcb from SMD to DIL sockets. I had designed such an adapter, the docu and layouts are for free : https://mega.nz/fold...wAXZlOEMQGbdutQ
look in the subdir "TLC5940-SMD2DIP-Adapter"
With use of the old mjr-pcbs you will have two problems with the availability of parts:
