I still can't start the game in full screen. It either crashes or doesn't load the table. I think it is a problem with Pinmame, at least I don't see its loading screen.
Another thing, when I change the rendering mode from window or window fullscreen to real fullscreen it renders in my native resolution even though I specified a higher one for downsampling. The higher one is displayed in the menu though. Only way to apply it in that situation is change to a smaller one and then back to the intended.

BTW. game runs nicely at stable 60hz vsync at 2880*1620 with a GTX 770 4GB ^^

Feature request:

Can you add the possibility to change the ball collision sounds independent from the flipper sound?

Gamma slider would be nice :-)

Better support for the 360 pad. Right now it is not possible to assign the d-pad.

Also the bloom intensity does't seem to save between sessions after clicking save.

Every time we start a table it seems to reset to around the value 1, even when the slider shows 0.44.

I got the same bug here and for the "render room" toggle. It appears disabled, but the room get still rendered until I toggle it on and off again.

While this dialog is still active, I can ALT+tab to Windows explorer and check: the tmp folder I created *has been deleted*. It no longer exists. I get the same blank extractor window as before.

I'm using Win 7 Home Premium SP1, for what it's worth.

Can you try to check "run as administrator" in the extractor.exe compatibility tab ?

Same problem here, every time I start the app, on two PCs (one is running Win8.1, the other Win7), extractor.exe and unit3dpinball.exe are running as admin. I create the tmp folder (or unzip the whole package once again), start the app, the table select dialog appears and at the same time the tmp folder is deleted. Without this folder after selecting a upt file I get ...

u3d_1.png

... and after clicking on "Ok" I get this dialog:

u3d_2.png

And that's it, nothing more is happening.

Any ideas what's going wrong or what's happening that the tmp folder is deleted? Thanks.

Had the exact same bug until I moved the installation into my C:\program files (x86) folder. I am on Windows 8.1.

I've noticed in Scared Stiff, that sometimes in certain camera views, when the game goes to look up at the spinning spider, that it points the camera in the wrong direction so you're not looking at it at all.

It's worse than that, because after it happens the camera isn't responding to the ball position in the scroll or pan camera modes anymore till I restart.

P. S. Other than that, very impressive work :-)

One request for the next version: If the reflections on the ball are turned off please use a ball texture like in VP otherwise the ball is just black and that looks THAT unrealistic. Turning off the reflections results in higher fps here on my system.

And I think that the standard size of the ball is a little bit too small.

How to move the DMD from VPinMAME to the 3rd screen?

In the Class of 1812 table:

- During multiball (2 balls) if one of the balls gets in the hole(picture) then it won't get released when you lose the other ball.

Did you get this bug using debug shot feature or while playing normally ?

We didn't enable any debug features so i assume we got the bug during normal play.

This has been added to TODO list.I think it works with fixed cams but not the others.

When you turn off the ball reflection, it has a texture, it's not just black!

Attached File  balltex.jpg   69.37KB   20 downloads

For the ball size, you can change it in the script:  Global.Physics.SetBallDiameter(26.987f);

But be aware that depending on how the table have been designed, you may have unpredictable weird things.

Ok, i will investigate about this.

I asked this question as some times, debug shots abuse can generate crazy ROM behaviors.

Hello. I copied the new Beta version of the VPinmame.dll file and now the glory of Vpinmame Rom sound effects are present!!!! :dblthumb:    That was it.  Man, this game is really shaping up nice :love39:   .  I just wanted to share the solution to the Rom sound issue in case anyone else has a problem.  Will be sending a donation your way within a day or so!! Thanks BilboX and louizou for all  of your efforts. :otvclap:

I have an idea - Can you add a section to the webpage for a database for signing up to either a. port over a FP table to UNit3D, b. create a new table for Unity3D, c. create resources, d. perform scripting.  That way people know who might be working on what tables and not duplicate efforts.  I know this is still pre-alpha but it is truly shapping up to become the defacto simulator for Vpin enthusiasts.

At least Scared Stiff seems to have swapped left and right audio channels, so the left flipper is in the right stereo channel and vice versa. Indiana Jones on the other hand seems to have no separation at all for the flippers!?

BTW, is it possible to change the mechanical sounds of the table? Especially the flippers. I found sound files under \libs\fpSounds.fpl.grab\ as well as in some of the table folders but mocking with those doesn't change anything.

Is there some basic steps to load a future pinball table into the editor?  I download a few a fpt tables when loading I got a a missing cs script.  I then copied over one script from another UPT table and it then noted that "Null reference exception object reference not set to an instance of an object"  Will there be detailed infor on this process for conversion coming in the next Update? Just excited and trying get this going to try a table conversion.  If this info is available and I am a fool and did not read it , then please say so  :bye2:

Better support for the 360 pad. Right now it is not possible to assign the d-pad.

Strange for fullscreen but we must admit we never use it ;). => check list

- Ball collision sound depends on the "physic material" of the object: rubber/metal/glass, etc... I d'ont really understand that question, please, develop ;).

- Gamma: Why not... good idea => TODO List

- d-Pad : known bug for every joysticks: I need to rewrite some parts of directjoy wrapper

Thanks for feedback!

How to move the DMD from VPinMAME to the 3rd screen?

Not possible yet: wait for Virtual Windows editor ;)... Or we will maybe re-enable VPM classic DMD feature...

Duh? => Anyone else has this problem?? => Check list

Possible: Solution 1, change directly in FP. Solution 2: change sound by script...

PinBalt

Keep in mind: UP is a new simulator which can IMPORT FP table GEOMETRIES, not scripts. Thus, for every table, there is a lot of work to make it work on UP. New c# script needs to be written "from scratch" (it is easier for a VPM rom driven table right now, A.k.a "VP/FP" union ;)!). To answer your question, there is no unique way to "convert" a table and for now, no "basic steps". Your best chance right now is to read comments on our table scripts (which are highly commented). I will make a non VPM table soon (Abracadabra)...

Noah really should make you guys a separate forum section with subforums. This thread is all over the place with support questions, dev questions, FP conversion questions, UP updates etc. It's only going to get worse as more people discover Unit3d Pinball. :juggle:

If Noah won't do it then maybe try over at vpuniverse or maybe even at your own site. These subtopics need to start getting organised!  :pokey:

You guys have worked very hard to bring this to the community and deserve your own forum/sub forum!!  :love39:

Great job :)

My only concern so far is the fact that I need to restart all CAB calibrations over and over, it's not saving the setting or something like that and I can't see the cabcallibration.xml anywhere?

Thanks a lot gigalula

About your calibration issue, do you click again on the "calibrate cab" button when your calibration is done ?

If so, where is installed unit3d pinball on your PC ?

If it's on the root of the C: drive , it may be an administration problem , you should move it to Program Files for example
