Was just about to update from 2152 and couldn't see the link but you've literally just added it.

Hopefully when I awake and get an answer for this :). Transparent plastics with that ramp making it see through, pretty sure my other games don't do this, even after the depth bias changing aroud 2152 . This table is from an old build but has been updated a lot, tried all sorts to get it right but can't keep wasting time on the little section. Anyone has answer?

That won't ever work until you modify the primitive. VP Doesn't show backfaces, if you'd notice you don't see any of the backfaces on the ramps, you just see through to the rest of the ramp in most spots but notice it there because there's no ramp behind it to hide it

Yeah man that makes perfect sense because this was imported a while back just as it was. All my others I have made and that's definitely why, nice one.

I had been wondering why I had been suffering some stutter while building this. Not very much, but enough to start noticing it and was running around 58-62fps and that's pretty bad. I run normally a lot higher.

That ramp is collidable and just being in the table is a massive killer. Even without any ball touching it I have just gained 50fps back by disabling the collider. It was fine 6 months ago but lots have been added since then and I will have to check every object now to optimize.

Yea what if you reduce face count in VP? Even set it to .5, it should look fine and improve performance a lot. You'd still have the outside face transparent but you could easily fix that one in blender by reversing a couple faces

I've yet to take back into blender but I did have quite a few primitives not set to toys.

The display I'm working with is halving my frame rate. It plays fine with no stutter now I've set adaptive vsync and went through all table objects but cabinet view seems to be a different beast, pretty choppy. Hopefully I can figure out why for cab view.

I'd like to vote against default primitive flippers... seems like too large a price to pay... looses a lot of flexibility only to have the default look better.
For the same reason I miss the old spinner and gate objects, bumpers even... while not as nice to look at they were flexible.

Thanks to all involved in VP10, taken the plunge & added it onto my cab. All works well but in Fullscreen Cab Windowed Mode but I have big black borders either side of the table & the table itself isn`t stretched to fit the screen.

Its probably a setting I`ve missed but any info would be appreciated thanks.

Is there a way to change the default dt/fs checkbox so that is is not set to "use dt"? Every time I want to play a table, I have to go through the settings. There seems to be no way to save this for a specific table or as a global preference. I'd like to add VPX to my cab and this is the only thing holding me back.

Check the video options in the preferences and check "Rotate for Cabinet Usage".

By the way - is there any progress with the new kickers? I tried BOP with the new kickers today - when the ball is entering the kickers on the face it just looks THAT realistic! :) Unfortunately it is not recognized correctly every time the ball enters the kickers there...

Useful to have the "O" key operating at 100%, the ball is visible for a moment, a time is not enough to capture the screen, this makes it easy to track balls blocked.

Thanks

Max

I noticed the latest packman PF seems blurrier .... dont know if its this build... hummm

I didn't blur it. I actually have little control, at the point I am at, over what my table looks like.

I did experiment by setting my light insert image as the playfield. The lights do work if there. I will try once to get the lights moved over to the playfield image, but the source graphics are different res and aspect, and OF COURSE the playfield image has no guide as to where to put the lights. Every single one is going to have to be moved tried and moved. It would actually be easier to draw reflections on the playfield using drop walls than moving lights over. All I see anyway when reflections are on is the pop bumper piece and it is not reflecting on the playfield but above it, and some strange looking stuff over the maze lights.

reflections_t.jpg

What is suppose to be reflected and does the playfield need a particular material to show it correctly?

Anyone else is having broken graphics like this on windows 10?

waMwhgd.png

The 3d models are not rendering properly, like the flippers and the bookcase. It is the same with the other tables. I don't have this issue with vp 991. My gpu is gt240m, it is pretty old but it should be fine I think.

Does nobody have this problem? It happens if I disable ambient occlusion, it is too costly and I can't leave it enabled.

I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. I copied my vpin folder, replaced everything (dll, vbs,..evrything in the vp10 folder), added a table and will not play. Keeps saying its corrupted? I can play the default table by pressing new but will not open any of the vp10 tables. Does anyone know what Im doing wrong?
