bon Ced, si tu passes par ici ce samedi, une petite pensée pour mon gamin et moi, on est au championnat de belgique 2013

 

ma 4ième participation et c'est de plus en plus chaud, 125 inscrits cette année, pour seulement 16 places après qualifs...

si t'es dedans tout est possible ensuite, mais c'est clairement galère

bon, moi j'ai foiré un max, je résume mes qualifs avec mon premier flip : FIREBALL : bille 1 et spindisc-avion sans la toucher, bille 2 et spindisc-avion sans la toucher, bille 3 je la touche 1X et spindisc-avion... ben OK manifestement ce sera pas mon jour, je dois finir dans les "50"

 

le gamin a lui raté sa chance, superbe 5ième (ou finalement 6) en qualif, pour finir éliminé en 1/2 sur IRON MAN (qu'il connait et adore), suffisait d'une touche pour relancer le multi IRONMONGER... en plus que la finale c'était sur TRON LE !!! c'est con car là forcément il avait clairement sa chance... il finira soit 6 ou 7 suivant classement final par rapport aux qualifs, pas mal quand même pour ses 17 ans, et seul "jeune" dans les adultes

ha wai, j'ai oublié, comme l'année dernière, j'ai encore gagné le tournoi secondaire, avec cette fois un CAPTAIN FANTASTIC à ramener à la maison !!!

edit : i have forgotten, there was a SOPRANO in free play, of course i have pleasure to try it while now i know the rules !!!

this time its harder on the real pin than VP, but for sure JP has made a very good conversion of this pinball

played few games on it, best at 157M on the day, and 2 time "under boss", each time missed the boss for 1 single mission to complete...

no

 

in fact, i limit myself with competitions, for almost 3 reasons :

 

1. i still think and feel pinball as a game to have fun while & meet friends, not a IFPA climb obsession, even if i have pleasure to play in tournament of course, its something different, with more pression... that said, i reached my best in the 10 place in Belgium few weeks ago (not more at the moment), and a bit more than place 300 in WW not bad for a "new" competitor (i played only 12 tournaments since begining in 2010)

2. to progress more while playing the best of the best (...), you need to visit europe (and more), and it cost a lot of money, and need lots of free time (i dont have with my work)

3. i want to keep my wife !!! she's not "into" pinball, played a game or 2 once at the time, but not more...

 

may be we'll meet one day !?

I agree that too much competitions can take the fun out of just playing. 

 

I'm placed about same as you in WW, was 225 but now 285, not played in many lately, and only 10 since Feb 2012.

Have  5 more to play in the next 2 months though. Will need a rest after this year i think.
