As a cab owner I've been making do with the FP version, it's looks great but your VP version plays so much better.

God I know. That FP version is not very good ;-;

Ahhhh... was that version anything to do with you >>>> Darko Vs. Drakko ? think.gif

Hello Noah and UncleReamus,

just noticed there has been a new version of Whirlwind for FP released, so was just wondering how our beloved VP update is coming along? The FP version looks pretty good but the VP9 still has it when it comes to gameplay.

I hope it's released soon, if nothing else to stop that intro music going round in my head "Da da dada dada dadaaaaa......" whistle.gif

It's COMING!

tongue.gif

Sorry guys, I'm a busy dude. I only WISH I had the time!

Maybe when I'm done organizing, merging, and uploading the 12GB of resources I have, I can get back to tables. In the meantime, expect something 'new' in the next couple days.

^But everyone knows, it's quality over quantity! I hate to throw the line out there for 'requests', but really whatever you guys release, no matter what it is, makes this guy happy. And for that I just want to send out a huge THANK YOU!

I'm beginning to think this is probably the most 'unofficially modded' table right now.

I'll get my ass in gear to get it done.

I now have a higher res playfield image, so it's going to take some doing, but I'll get it done, guys.

Maybe for now you can update this with the 2.0 highres desktop version for others, noah.
If you have a widescreen 16:9 monitor and want to play your VP9 desktop tables without them being stretched, check out This Link

yahoo.gif YESSS! Out of the games that don't have a FS version, Whirlwind is definitely my favorite. And your desktop version is beautiful.

---Sorry, man, but unauthorized Mods are against our community rules.---

EDIT: I'm going to look it over and see just what's changed. If you haven't changed the settings, and just changed the view to FS, I'll use it as my starting point and be sure to give you a shout out on the download page. Thank you.

I need to learn how to unoffically mod breakshot.

It seems like a lot of people think that to do a basic FS mod of a 4:3 table, you need to be a rocket scientist or table author to accomplish it.

Although uploading unauthorized mods is not allowed, understanding how to change scale and rotation on your own is not complicated at all.

Let's review:

1) start off with an FS table who's settings you like. In the editor, click on Backdrop and copy the 8 settings starting with Inclination and ending with Y Offset.
2) enter those values in the table you're trying to mod, and see how it looks.
3) It probably will be not centered or scaled exactly how you want it, so you need to keep adjusting these settings until you get the table where you want it.
This is the slowest part, because you have to keep trying values, launch the table, change the values again, launch the table again, etc.

The four values you need to concentrate on are X/Y Scale and X/Y offset. The only confusing thing is that for some strange reason, the X and Y are the opposite for scale as they are for offset, as you can see in the diagram below:

4) once you get it where you want it, there's probably some unecessary stuff (displays, graphics) remaining from the 4:3 version on your playfield. These should all be objects on the Backdrop window in the editor, and to get rid of them, just drag them off to the side. (don't just delete them, since that may cause script errors - just drag them far enough to the side that they won't be seen.

And that's the basic idea. The more complicated things like fixing plunger graphics, adding higher resolution graphics, changing bumper angles etc are more complicated, and the reason why the authors need time to do a proper FS version, but this basic method will get you playing some on your own until the proper ones come out.
