Hi Piple,

 

You should set all the options on in pinemhi.ini for badges and all the lists.

Then restart the pinemhi_rom_monitor if it was already running and then press L multiple times, you should see the list of the best scores .

Then we'll know if that works

 

You didn't answer if you maybe have multiple vpinmame installations on your desktop/cabinet.

And also the check for what path is in the vpinmame setup.

 

Cause i strongly believe that you don't have the right nvram directory in the pinemhi.ini

Is there also an nvram directory in your visual pinball directory and does that have nv files in them?

C:\Pinball\Visual Pinball\nvram\

 

Was the pinemhi_rom_monitor running when you started visual pinball without a frontend?

are you also getting the scores are equal messages in the logfile when running without the frontend?

 

 

And yes language can make a difference...for me it's dots as i have it on dutch

Sorry for not answering your questions, I'll do my best.

The rest of the ini-file I left at default settings. The mentioned lines were all set to "1".
I can still see no popup-window. When pressing "L" a second time, the taskbar-icon disappears again.


I'm quite sure there is only one vpinmame-installation. It's a fresh install from the AIO-installer package.
The only addition I made was to install PinUpPlayer ( https://www.nailbust...d=install_guide )

I opened the vpinmame-setup (setup.exe) - setup paths.
The nvram-path is set to: C:\Pinball\Visual Pinball\VPinMame\nvram

When starting setup64.exe - "setup paths" I get an error-message: "Can't create the Controller class..."
And that it's not installed properly. I think that's not necessary.

There is no nvram-directory in C:\Pinball\Visual Pinball\
A search on the harddisk only brings up C:\Pinball\Visual Pinball\VPinMame\nvram

pinemhi_rom_monitor was running before starting VPX without the frontend - with the same entry in the log.


For testing I uninstalled VPX, renamed the old folder to .bak
Afterwards I ran the AIO-installer and took another folder for VPX: C:\Visual Pinball

I copied the rom and the table-file to the new location, changed the pinemhi.ini to the new folder, restarted the monitor.
But still the same problem. :-(


Should I be able to see the last score when running pinemhi on the CLI?

Hi Piple,

 

I'm running out of questions here haha

 

You should try the L button more than twice, it will turn on the pop-up and then off and when you press it again it will display another pop-up....just cycle through it a bit more  you should get the best scores for that table if all is ok

because you haven't set a score yet the other pop-ups will probably not display

 

With pinemhi you won't see the last scores.....that's in the pinemhi leaderboard exe only...which you can't run like the pinemhi.exe

 

Perhaps something blocks the rom monitor exe or pinemhi leaderboard exe and that causes the output to be equal

If you take a look at the directory pinemhi leaderboard , do you see TOP10 directory's ?

If so, if you open the TOP10 best and then open one file for instance afm_113b.txt

What's in it?

 

Do you have any antivirus/firewall perhaps that blocks it.....maybe pinemhi leaderboard.exe or pinemhi rom monitor.exe needs permission

If you happen to have Microsoft Defender running , that will definitely need a permission for pinemhi rom monitor.exe to run ok.

 

Otherwise perhaps install the pinemhi & pinemhi leaderboard v3.3 again to see if that helps, the download is in the first post of this thread

OMG, you found it!!

I re-downloaded the zip-file and realized that my installation did not have PINemHi_Leaderboard.exe all the time!!
After extracting everything is working now, uploading, popups and so on!
I don't know how the file got lost here, really silly.

Sorry to bother you for this easy solution!

I tried it on my test-machine but I'm sure it will work in the cabinet too!

Hey DNA,

 

I periodically get the following error when I try to run a table. Lately, I'm getting it with Bride of Pinbot.  If I exit out of PinballX, quit the pinemhi.rom.monitor.exe file, then reload it, it all starts working again.  It seems to be happening when I first boot up my cabinet (and I have the pinemhi.rom.monitor.exe auto start).

 

Ideas?

Wonder if something is happen, after the cab boots, adjustment to screens etc, that is making what pinemhi thought invalid

are you starting it at boot via a batch file?

If so, maybe put a delay in the bat file

 

PING localhost -n 30 >NUL
will hold it off for about 30 seconds if you make that the 1st line in the bat file

Wtf? BrandonLaw miles ahead now. I guess he must have got eternal life and a billion or two from that (by completing all modes). He's above my scoring ceiling on this table now. Gonna have to set a personal high to even get close.

Umm you got something not right there
I have that table, that version, and there is no object named drainwall
and there is no object in the script named drainwall, nor anything bound to key 3 to raid or lower a wall

 

Where did you download yours from?

Also no references to Bsize or BMass
You got a VBS file in the tables folder or something that is screwing with your table?

So...I really love this table...not like BOP, but I think it's smooth and well-produced for VP so I smack balls around a bit here and there.  Then this week comes along and I'm honestly clueless at the tables ruleset.  I get to 1.5b...frustratedly after a few days of trying...watch Papa's tutorial at work....come home...go to bed...think about it...get out of bed a few hours later and 3:30am I'm giving it a go.  Let's just say I hit that score around 8:40am and yep...was bashing along and all of a sudden an odd sound and all lights flashing with 30 seconds of EL.  Cradled up...bam bam bam.  I was jacked.  Also, this game you can store up EB's which was mad helpful.  I guarantee I used no less than 9 balls.

 

Also @Mike DA Spike let me know and I can share my table if yours is FUBAR'd.

I can share my table if you'd like.  Just let me know.

Thanks guys. Not sure where I have the table from. Must be vpforums, but could also have it from Bigus self.
All my downloads I keep as a zip, will look at that ot I will redownload tomorrow and try to play it

I'm starting my own competition and weekly challenge cuz you guys won't let me win just one lousy weekly challenge
Just me as participant...hell yeahh...winning all the time

But seriously, yes....when it's done you only get 5 minutes of gametime and then your game is killed...
Just to make it a little bit more exciting between pro and novice players.....
When pinemhi leaderboard had it's own frontend it was already in...but with abandoning the frontend i couldn't use it anymore
But guess what, it's back in after like 7 years i guess

Have to test things out a bit more ...some games couldn't handle the exit when still in a game...score wasn't on the same position in the nvram as it would normally be after finishing a game...but got that covered...

Maybe we could also go for a super flash mode of 1 minute as well...that would give some close battles and strategy decisions

but it didnt record the score

 

and i tilted a table out, cause i wanted to see if i got the knocker sound working
and it seemed to have logged my score of nearly nothing LOL

Yes...some weren't..but fixed that...need to check some more games

As soon as the rom has started i guess, with a very small delay after that.
So you better work on your coin insert skills....it's all part of the challenge to get to the higher scores
