What’s everyone’s highest score on this table, would be good to have a target to aim for?

903'546'710 is my highest on this table and had to input my initials. i have a screen shot but i cant find how to upload it from my desktop

i also noticed at the end of 3 balls of play a message says to not stop and to press for extra ball. what keyboard key would that be ?

an excellent table like so many with no errors of play at all

Some tables have an "extra ball" button, referred to in Preferences as "EB BuyIn", which is button 2. That's the button you use on some tables when it says to press for an extra ball or to buy in for another ball to continue the game.

i found it thanks key 2

I guess I've said it to you via PM's Fleep. This is a groundbreaking release in many ways. For me, the sounds are the what sets this release apart from all the other tables. I can't thank you enough for what you've done here. Does not mean that I don't appreciate the rest. No, no, no - it both looks and plays fantastic. So I bow to you guys for what you've done here. It is simply a fantastic release.

Theatre of Magic 2.4

What's New in Version 2.4
- Slightly improvement on physics for better flick control (Rothbauerw)
- Improvement on physics live catches (Rothbauerw)
- Cleaned up trajectory correction to fix an occasional odd angle (Rothbauerw)
- Reduced the diameter and the elasticity of loop post and vanish post to prevent a possibility of ball rejection by the posts (Rothbauerw)
- Commented out a debug statement in the flasher code (Rothbauerw)
- Easy tweak (FlipperCoilRampupMode) for Coil-Ramp up behaviour in script (Fleep/Rothbauerw)
- Catwalk ramp sound sometimes would not trigger sound; Fixed now (Rothbauerw)

"..Make the ball vanish!.."

Thank you for the continued effort fellows :)

Out of curiosity more than anything, do you authors continue to make improvements to the table by playing it or comparing it to the real table?

Big thanks to Roth, Fleep and all involved in continuing to make this table as good as it can be. A truly fantastic table that I never get bored playing. Just awesome!

Thanks for the update. I always get lost while playing Vp. But this table just makes it that much closer to the real thing

Thanks for the update guys. You guys are really persistent in getting this table absolutely perfect. And thank you for that !

From now on. I won't help anyone here at VPF. Please ask Noah why that is.

I thought I had read the entire thread, but maybe I missed something. Fastflips doesn't seem to be working on this table. I tried the earlier versions as well and checked the script has Const UseSolenoids = 2 as well as vpmInit Me correctly.

I also found an older thread about Fastflips that mentions adding these lines somewhere in the table script:

const cSingleLFlip= 0

const cSingleRFlip= 0

Those lines are in the v2.4 script and have False instead of 0.

I'm currently getting around 22ms when in the f11 menu and pressing the flippers.

All other tables on my cab have Fastflips working, so I'm scratching my head a bit. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

It appears to be working here.  With UseSolenoids = 2, I'm running at 0.1-0.4ms from press to rotate.  With UseSolenoids = 1, I'm running anywhere from 2ms to 28ms.

It's the strangest thing. I changed UseSolenoids to = 1 (from 2). Then closed the table, changed it back to = 2...now Fastflips is working.

Never had that happen, but now I'm getting 1.9-2.2 ms. Thanks again for the fantastic table!

What’s everyone’s highest score on this table, would be good to have a target to aim for?

5.7 billion but I find comparing VPX scores kind of pointless unless playing on the same machine with the same exact settings since your tilt and nudge settings can give you a enormous advantage depending on how they are set.

Even though this table looks amazing, I have not played this much yet.  TOM really is an exceedingly easy table.  When we play in real tournaments we have the table on the hardest settings ROM settings so games don't last forever.  No ball saves, no stairs rewards, no magna saves, no extra ball etc.   In VPX i'm just playing on factory default ROM settings although I should change that.

I find that the flippers in this table work really well (thanks rothbauerw for your insane amount of dedication and attention to details on the physics).  I only play on a monitor with 144Hz with GSync enabled or in VR at 120Hz however so maybe that helps me with the flipper timing. My CPU is an 8700k currently over clocked to 5.4 GHZ.

In my opinion once you play on a Gsync monitor at 144hz or 120Hz, 60hz looks extremely bad and hard to go back to.  In VR it also plays great at 120hz as well so that is usually the only way I play these days.

Thanks to all involved for your hard work on this table!!    Amazing Work Guys!!!

5.4ghz?  Wow, I didn't know CPU's could be OC to that extent and still not melt down!

Everyone keeps saying this table is easy. I personally find it enjoyable to play but extremely frustrating to advance through the modes. Yes I know that I suck at pinball period but do try to understand the rules and apply the same knowledge and tricks from the real table and apply it to the VP version, but no luck. I guess as it's been said, it most likely has to do with hardware etc, though my setup is pretty beefy as it is.

In the end, it's maybe best to stop being the champion at every table and enjoy playing. Gary Stern did say it right. Regardless of visual or real in the end its a ball with a mind of its own.

This table is really impressive and I play it several times a day. The only problem: The ball ejection (new ball) keeps jamming, so that the ball does not lie in front of the plunger. A strong nudging then leads to a correct ejection, but usually results in a tilt.
