Wow! I can't believe you are already upgrading. It seems like just did this not too long ago. It does sound like you have a good plan though.

Just another video showing you my big progress with my PinCab while you can still see inside of it. Now I have a Fire Button on the lockdown bar, and Apron LCD Screen, a 16:9 Middle Screen, a working tilt bob and analogue nudge, SSF... and more!

A screen just above the lockdown is a great idea! On a side note do you have a wiring diagram for the 360 controller hack you are using for your plunger and the 2 potentiometers? I'm using a pinscape as I'm building my 1st cab but but I saw your plunger setup in one of your old videos and it seems like a cool solution for native FX3 support.

No wiring diagram.... but I did basically remove the connection for the left thumbstick "Y" axis in the gamepad, and replaced them with the pots.
That said...a Pinscape should be able to handle FX3 using x360ce to emulate an xbox 360 gampad and make the plunger work in a similar manner.

I need something similar to cover my LEDs (both strips, block, and a DMD). I already have a channel cut that is 10mm wide for the two playfield side strips.
What color perspex is this? Is it bronze, brown, grey, light smoke, dark smoke. Or perhaps you have a percentage of light transmission like 36%?

All I can tell you is that it was the darkest they had available. ![]()
My back panel plexi was a lighter tint (I got that years ago), and I actually covered it in automotive window tint.

This video finally shows the first reveal of my updates to my virtual pincab.
I reworked the Popper T-Bar to now display on my new Apron screen, and the Text and details to display on my mid-screen.
I also now have animated "grill videos" for each playlist, but you can have them for each table if you want.
I'll have gameplay demos showing the apron screen being used with PuP-Packs and the mid-screen being used with PUPDMD and PinEvent.

Hi Terry,
Are you going to put back the arcade panel for Mame, PC games etc or are you scrapping the idea?
I am in 2 minds to do an arcade/pinball hybrid or keep it purely pinball.
Webster
PinKadia is officially DEAD. It had a good run for a few years. No more arcade panel in the pincab.
I need a new name for the cabinet now.
That said, I could adapt my arcade panel into a slim case and add suction cups if I ever want to still play arcade games on this cabinet.

Here’s a quick video preview that shows off (in my cabinet) some of the DOF and MX Leds I added to Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire (VPX) by Scotty Wic.
I have effects for the potion cauldron, the wand Lock, shimmer / modes, Goblet Fire, Dragon Fire, particle effects for each mode and colour matched with the undercab lighting… and much more than I can show in this video.
There will be more DOF updates coming. Sorry for my phone’s crap audio.
I really need a high quality new video camera of some sort.
Table is available here...be sure to read the important info in the Description as well as the Install tab:

Where did you get your cab legs/plunger/lock bar Terry?
I'm looking to do my own build this year, and have had a hard time finding a good place in Canada to purchase these.
Thanks for the insight! Your pincab is an absolute inspiration!
Kev
EDIT: Never mind Terry, I found all my answers in the thread
thanks for all this info!!

I absolutely LOVE the fire button! I have a Stern Star Trek at home and I would really love to get a fire button built into my virtual cab. How did you manage to do this? Would love to hear/see it ![]()

I have no lockbar mechanism underneath.... so i had a local machine shop drill a hole for the fire button.

How many ways can Pup do a PUPDMD on a Future Pinball table if you have your PuP screens properly placed? ![]()
LCD DMD (4:1 standard DMD size)
Real DMD - only 128x32 dots ![]()
FullDMD 16:9 fullscreen (Stern style)
LCD DMD on the Backglass (for 2 screen users)
Topper/Under above the DMD for split middle screens
