@tmek why don't you create an "official" topic here with all the kickstater info and any progress. Unless I've missed it and you've posted another topic, the kickstarter info is buried only in this topic.

Otherwise @Ben Logan can the first post of this topic be updated with the kickstarter info.

IMO you'd get more support by highlighting the features that matter most to members of this forum.  I guess later, if it gets off the ground maybe the admins here can create a Pinball Labs section as they did with Unit3D.

There are a ton of "Geek" sites that report news on kick starters and cool stuff to buy. I just started a new job and don't have time to send a email to the site owner but if someone wants to let them know about the project, send them an email as its free and they will post the link up on their site. Don't limit to just these sites, there's so many more out there. Some get millions of hits a day/week so that should help the cause.

Just pledged the max + a little extra!

I look forward to porting Junkyard Cats to this new platform as it looks beautiful and it seems like you are taking all of the right feedback into consideration. As an original table author, I will be happy to offer feedback once I get a chance to play around with what you've done so far.

Best of luck on the Kickstarter!

I played a lot of Brendan Bailey's originals a few years ago when I used VP, and to see some of these in the new engine with the new physics would be incredible :).

Maybe the Zen and Pro Pinball forums have a section for other pinball stuff

So get this - I posted the kickstarter video/link on the "Pinball Enthusiasts" facebook group... and they not only deleted my post but someone contacted me warning me not to post it again! ...really?

Everyone else should start posting it there.

They may just have a policy against "virtual" pinball or kickstarter posts.  That's understandable.

They obviously aren't enthusiasts so should change their name. That's madness.

True, but this is the internet. And it's 2015. They need to learn how to "social media," especially considering your kickstarter is absolutely on-topic for a Pinball Enthusiasts group.

Sorry, I just take issue with unwarranted censorship.

They don't like virtual pinball being discussed on that page in any form as they don't consider it pinball.  In fact that's the reason I created the Virtual Pinball and VPin cab builders page on FB, so we would have a place to discuss our hobby.  I know that Zany has posted on our page about the Kickstarter, but I'll continue to push the campaign there.

I also just dropped a meager $50 on the campaign to become a wizard.  Far cheaper and less time consuming than the 40 years it took me to become a wizard in the real world, one quarter at a time.

Good idea, neohusky. I updated the original post with tmek's Kickstarter announcement. And, I agree with you: An official Pinball Labs Kickstarter thread might be even better, as having "Pinball Labs Kickstarter Launched" in the title would communicate the topic instantly and probably raise even more awareness.

I just sent a note to the dudes who host the Pinball Podcast (Don and Jeff). I recommend their show, if you guys don't already listen. It's mostly "real pinball" talk, but they're fans of the Pinball Arcade and Visual Pinball, too. Great aficionados!

I've asked them if they'd consider mentioning tmek's Kickstarter campaign on their podcast. It's pretty popular, so I think it'd help. I'll let you guys know if I hear back from them.

Here's a link to their show:

Awesome!  Thanks Ben. :)  Checking them out right now.

Today was a pretty good day for the Kickstarter.  I think we will hit 20% by tonight.

Just thinking about media exposition. Why you guys don't contact Todd Tuckey from TNT Amusements so he can mention it on one of his videos and post link/info in youtube.

Youtube channel: https://www.youtube....r/tntamusements

Oficial website: http://www.tntamusements.com/

Even John's from Jhon's Arcade can mention you in his youtube channel.

Youtube channel: https://www.youtube.com/user/blkdog7

They have a lot of views and Arcade/Pinball Fans all over the world.

TRY IT!

I love those guys videos but I can't imagine they would want to promote a virtual pinball kickstarter since they deal with real pinball.  I guess it couldn't hurt to ask though. :)

You could play up the angle of using this as a virtual test platform for people making real pinball machines based on the integration with the Mission Pinball Framework? (That's the angle I'm playing up on my end.) :)

Try to get some\any exposure through to steam users.

You're obviously going to have to go through the back door to get message out, but finding relevant forums & community's on there will help target other gamers rather than pinheads.
