Hi Morddor,

did you copy the opengl file from the ledwiz folder to the root folder of future pinball?

Thanks for the info, I may have to do a 1.51 release after work tonight. The file may be corrupt. I unfortunaetly don't have an Ledwiz to test it before the releases. Sorry about that.

Hi Morddor,

It was definitely corrupted. Just uploaded 1.5 LedWiz Fix. It should work fine now.

Just noticed when testing 1.5 that it displays FP table info correctly (Attack From Mars, Avatar, Avengers etc) but as soon as it hits a Pinball FX2 table (Marvel - Avengers) it keeps displaying that table name over and over again no matter what table is scrolled to. I also noticed that the text becomes very small (to fit in the DMD). Only way to fix is to close FutureDMD and reopen it again.

Thanks Open6l, I only have FP & VP and never even thought of testing with fx2, I'm surprised though, I thought it would output the same. I'll have to give that a look this weekend. Next up I'm working on the font section for sizing, additional text transitions,  as well as expanding it so you can use custom fonts as well.

The new plugin is really really good. very impressed with the pinballx output.

It seems to output backwards once a table is launched though?

you need to overwrite all of the files with this release. They have all been modified for performance improvements and are not compatible with previous releases. You will end up with strange output if you mix versions of the files.

Open6l, I'm having trouble recreating it. is it only starting the bug with the Marvel - Avengers table or any FX2 table? Would you be able to post or PM me the the table entry or entries in your xml database so I can test with them?

I will test it again and see. Previously it seemed to only hiccup on that Marvel Avengers. I have since disabled my Pinball FX2 db and have updated FutureDMD to the most recent 1.5 so I haven't had a chance to test again (was trying to figure out why it wouldn't open and close but that seems to be resolved with your test executable).

ok so now there is a new issue. Using your new test executable it closes FutureDMD everytime I browse to a FX2 table. If I browse between FP and VP its fine but as soon as it displays a FX2 table it closes FutureDMD.

Update: Only happens when I select Marvel - Avengers in FX2. Not sure what is special about that table that is conflicting with FutureDMD. Going to remove the media I have for that table to see if it makes a difference. I did try renaming the table name (to just Avengers) but it still didn't help.

Update 2: It only happens if I have that Marvel - Avengers table enabled. So bizarre. I removed all the media associated with that table but it still closed FutureDMD. I then disabled the table within PinballX Game Manager and am able to scroll through all my tables of FP and VP and FX2 (minus the Marvel Avengers one). Scratching my head :)

Here is my FX2 xml

<game name="M-A">
<description>Marvel - Avengers</description>
<manufacturer>Zen Studios</manufacturer>
<year>2013</year>
<type>SS</type>
<hidedmd>False</hidedmd>
<hidebackglass>False</hidebackglass>
<enabled>True</enabled>
<rating>0</rating>

I'm wondering if its because the game name is too short to recognize (M-A). I will try changing that and see if it helps any.

Update: OK - turns out it was the game name. I changed it to M-AVENG and it worked fine. It displayed the name on FutureDMD and didn't crash/close it.

Thanks OpenGL, I should be able to fix it up with your detailed testing but I'm glad there is a way to quick fix it :). The test file I put on the other site has a "close on error" flag where the normal release tries to gracefully recover. I didn't intend to use it for this problem but I'm glad you tried it out. Thanks again.

I know you said you are working on enhanced Font abilities (sizing and transitions etc). Is there currently a way to select a standard size for all tables or is that still in the pipeline.

not yet, The sizing is kind of tricky because of varying length's of text that can be fed into it and how each transition wants to present it. I built in 5 different sized fonts and have a routine compatible with and can read FP font files for possible future importing. If you wanted to go larger fonts all of the time right now there is not an option but if you edit your default custom text to messages longer than 21 characters it will force the dmd to use the "ticker tape" transitions and scroll the text in. None of the other transitions can handle text that long. This won't change the other messages though that aren't yet customizable. If you use 20 characters though it may select the smallest font :)
