There are some people who're still going to donate money. This means that we'll get closer and closer to the required amount. As promised I'll do a second donation after a small demo has been released.
The reasoning at Go Pinball is odd. They are afraid of using ROMs (for which permission is gained), but they do simulate the ROMs of new Stern Pinball, Inc. games which has been forbidden by Stern Pinball, Inc. Nonetheless I enjoy the tables they make and the new generation of graphics. It's just a shame that they don't support this project which shall further improve the possibilities of FP.

Here we go again.
Get your facts straight. What do you mean "they" don't support this project? Who's "they"? Louizou is using software from LVR and LVR's helping to achieve this. LVR happens to be Admin @ Gopinball. Please stop this nonsense about Gopinball.
Again, this is about Unity, not about Gopinball!

I just saw a new documentary on how ideas are spread and it made it crystal clear to me that the existence of the hobbiest virtual pinball communities is leading to drastically increased sales to anyone selling anything pinball-related. Anyone up on marketing trends would know this. That includes the manufactures and those selling virtual pinball systems, such as Farsight.

@ rehab: If "they" were supporting this project, they wouldn't have taken off the address to donate money. Furthermore I can't find any proof that LvR is an admin at Go Pinball, it doesn't say so anywhere while it does for Steve. And I'm not interested in a discussion about which development kit or community is better, I just wanted to add that I think it's a shame that they have removed the donation address. The bigger the community and the more helping hands the better ...
@JAM0: I don't think you can treat every hobby and the developments within these hobbies alike. I think that Farsight will generate most income from the console versions of the Pinball Arcade, whereas VP and FP are real competitors for the computer version of the game. Furthermore Stern Pinball, Inc. has made its judgement and we live by it to keep our hobby and community alive. Whether the earlier release of emulators could be positive for their sales or not is something I'm sure they will be auditing.

OK Time to try and clear some things up:
The address for donating being removed was a mistake as Steve was under the impression that each table would be made into an exe with included copyright material.
This has now been cleared up.
The only admins at gopinball are TheNalex and LvR, you can tell as there names are in red. Steve is a moderator.
Its not that we throw a fit about using roms, it has only ever been about hacking FP to run roms that we were against.
I will now go and add the donation link back at GoPinball.

These communities and the emulations they provide allow for people to catch the "pinball bug". And the number of people who have the bug is directly correlated to sales of commercial pinball-related products. The power of VP and FP is that they are free. Free ideas are proven to spread drastically faster than ones that cost money. I would be surprised if they haven't already audited the possible impact we are having, and have come to the conclusion that we are helping them.
It is an interesting question regarding what the sales numbers will be for Farsight's PC releases. I predict that they will be strong. I know I will buy them because I have a PC pinball system set-up and I want their tables on it. I think it is important that their tables can be configured for cabs, 2 and 3 screen, etc. If they do that I think their PC version will do quite well.

@Glxb: Thank you for your clarification. It's a good thing that the donation address has been put back up at Go Pinball. Tales from the Crypt says: The more the merrier
@JAM0: I don't see a lot of people on these forums buying brand new pinball tables. Most people over here buy older pinball tables having gained some kind of iconic status. Not a single pinball manufacturer gains income from these second hand sales. Will this change when Stern Pinball, Inc. allows us to emulate / simulate their brand new machines? I guess not, because most of the hobbyists are not interested in brand new tables for such a high price. So what could be a valid reason for Stern Pinball, Inc. to prevent the emulation / simulation of their brand new tables? I guess this is the income gained by the locations having bought the brand new machines. Without the emulation / simulation enthausiasts have to visit these locations to try out the new machines. This generates income for the locations having bought the machines. Thus are we helping them? Yes, more people are becoming an enthausiast. Would the early emulation / simulation of their new pinball tables generate more income for them? No, in the worst case it could lead to less locations buying pinball tables due to less players.
Let's get back on topic again please. Any new developments regarding animations?

My last comment on this subject
If I became an enthuistist because of VP (which I did), then I will be more apt to seek out real pinball (which I am). If the only machines I find out there are new Sterns, I will play them, even if I have them already on my PC (which I don't).

You're right themer , let's get back on this topic....
The guys at Gopinball want to make their own pin sim ... so no comment ...
I have no progress to show , that's why i'm a little discrete at the moment.
I have completely translated milkshape importer to c# but the most difficult part is to adapt it to the unity way of seeing bones.
Bindpose and matrix give me headache, but i do not give up .
