speaking of table folders....  LOL   I'm sure this will make some peoples head spin....
every table/b2s in its own folder

...and in each of those, a folder for each version...and in each of those, a folder for each update...and in each of those, a folder just for fun...
Some say the folders never truly end...in...*Twilight Zone noises*

Would the boob mod be inside the PB folder? Multiple versions?

Think that is in the Pornhub folder?

@LunatechFringe : I thought that it would be weird if nudge all of a sudden did die in vpx, and here 270 rc is working just as previous releases. As I said, not exactly the same hardware. All I tested was to trap a ball and nudge the cab, saw it clearly.

From now on. I won't help anyone here at VPF. Please ask Noah why that is.

Yes. You can and should keep different version of VPinballX.exe in the VP folder imo, as long as they are beta. That is the easiest way to go back and test one build vs the next. I keep them typically like this : VPinballX.exe (is the default - currenly 10.7) - then I've got several others "VPX_7_beta_rev225_rc.exe"  - I use Winrar and when I open the archive I just copy the name in the path that Fuzzle has created as the name to be used instead of VPinballX.exe.

I don't have the latest version of Zeb's, so, maybe our experience will be different ? It would be a good idea though, to go back and verify - and I'll test my cab later today.

@Thalamus, I tried downgrading back to VPX 6.2 with the older DLLs, but the same problem existed.  It ended up being NudgePlugIn_mjrAccelAndTilt.vbs, which I copied and renamed to NudgePlugIn.vbs in my Tables folder.  Once I removed the script, nudging worked again, and my tilt bob still functions as expected.  It seems I don't require this script for this version of the plunger, so I hope this helps someone else out if they run into it.

I'm back up to the latest 10.7 build.  I've updated Freezy to 1.8.2 and VPM to VPinMAME-sc-3.4-281-5adc05e-win-x86.  The only issue I'm noticing now is my virtual dmd is doubling-up on a few tables.  The original DMD shows up smaller on top of or slightly to the side of the colorized version.  I've seen it in Apollo 13 and Theatre of Magic so far.  Not all tables have this problem, so I'm guessing it's related to colorized DMDs.  I'm going to try downgrading Freezy to 1.8.0 to see if that fixes it.

Hit F1 and turn of Show DMD, leaving only use External DLL checked

I tried that earlier.  The majority of my tables are already configured that way, including the two mentioned.  I thought checking Show DMD, closing and reopening VPX, unchecking that option again, and closing and reopening VPX would fix it, but it isn't working consistently.  It doesn't appear to be related to Freezy, since it's still doing this with 1.8.0.  A few minutes ago, I opened Theatre of Magic, and it was back to normal.  I closed VPX and reopened the table, and the problem was back.

I reinstalled Freezy 1.8.2.  The same problem existed.  It was only until I downgraded VPM to the version I was using before, and the problem has gone away.  I'll report this in the VPM beta thread.

I hope I don't sound too stupid, but I'm a little confused of the difference between table and backglass sounds in the sound manager. For example on the original table Wizard of Oz I don't hear a lot of sounds and clips when playing the table. I'm running the B2S - am I missing something that would play backglass sounds?  I run everything on my laptop, and was about to change all the backglass sounds to table in the sound manager, but would first like to understand how these are suppose to work. Thanks!

backglass in sound manager pertains to speaker locations, has no bearing on B2S itself

in stereo 2 channel, there is no backglass sound location technically

in 4 channel(5.1 or quad) it means backglass sounds always play in the front speakers

The table shares use of the front channels L and R and gets exclusive use of the side L and R

in 7.1 the backglass gets exclusive use of the front L and R
The table uses the side L and r and the rear L and R

As far as WOZ goes, what sounds do you not hear?

Thank you for clearing that up for me!  The sounds I don't hear are the fanfare 1 thru 5,  melting, quote 1,2,4,5 and most of the voc's. They all work when played in the sound manager but not during gameplay, and I know I'm playing deep enough in the game to be hearing more.

Hello,

Just a little issue, when I run it I get the following error "Error analyzing EntityName, line 106, position 20"

The following line is 106:

"Const cVolSfx     = .2    ' Volume for Game Sound effects  (Hitting targets, raps, etc)"

With PinUP System tables happens this to me (Batman 66, etc) could this VP 10.7 beta related?

Thanks.

Well, if they work in sound manager, then they do work for you, so not an encoding issue

I assume the table script is not playing them at some super low volume?

I also assume that you do not have VPX set to 4 channel or 7.1 in audio prefs

And that you have both audio devices set to the same exact device in prefs?

For giggles try setting all the backglass sounds to table
It wont be permanent if you dont save the table
Then see if you hear them

If you still do not hear them

assign some of the sounds in question to like the flippers and bumpers etc
Again, if you dont save it wont be permanent
Then test if you hear them or not

If you hear them then, i dont think it is your audio setup

Setting the backglass to table won't work Wiesshund, he needs to save exit and reload. Known bug. Make a second copy of the table first is the better solution ;)

That works fine too, i have not run into that bug yet though, wonder what causes it?

When updating 10.7 from an earlier release candidate (eg.258 to 270) do I just replace the .exe?  I already copied all the new scripts over and replaced bass.dll from the 10.6 final (backed them up ofc).

I noticed in 258 that exiting a table will close the table if it was opened with a double click. If I load first into editor and then start manually, then when I exit it keeps table loaded in editor. Was this intended?

I would suggest always take everything, except the VPMkey.vbs in the scripts folder, IF you have customized yours, if not, then dont worry about overwriting that file.

You never know when some script may be added or changed.

For example, one of the recent beta builds contains a new LTD machine translation that did not exist before, and the tables requiring it (2 that i know of, though one has not been started yet) would not work without that.

And an existing script was updated to include some previously undocumented switches.

Neither of those arrived with any kind of fan fare yet.
