do you have a repro? cause if i do this on the default table (create star trigger, surface=ramp1, ramp1 visible off) then it looks correct.

also in the code there is nothing obvious that should lead to problems.

Is it possible, that the "passthrough" doesn't work for lights on the backdrop? They always show a some kind of colour , but never the picture i've chosen.

Tried to use a rubber as a metal rail. Looks fine in the editor, but as soon as i start the table, the ball goes through the rubber/metal.

Well, invisible wall around it it is.

Is there a way to launch VPX tables through hyperpin?  I just tried adding a table to my vpexetables notepad:

Kingpin (Capcom 1996)

vpinballx.exe

When I try to launch it says: "Cannot find <directories>\tables\Kingpin (Capcom 1996).fpt

Note the .fpt.....for what ever reason it's looking for  a fpt, I have no issues using this method to launch any previous version of VP9.9, VP.9.1 etc.

Hmm maybe it's because hyperpin doesn't know .vpx extension? Don't know haven't used hyperpin for years.

@hmueck: lights on the backdrop are rather rudimentary supported.  :/

I don't think HyperPin was made with VP10 in mind. :)

You can always edit the FPLaunch.ahk, change .fpt/.vpt to .vpx and compile your own fplaunch.exe file...

Yea, the vpx file extension is not recognized by HyperPin/FPLaunch.  I was looking at the FPLaunch code and have no idea what needs to be changed.  If anyone can figure it out; please let us know!

I actually had a longer post, but deleted it because this isn't a Frontend vs Frontend thread... I edited what I originally posted to keep thread on topic.

Search/replace .vpt with .vpx?!

ooook, if it's easier for you to hack a custom fplaunch together than to just install pinball x and copy over your hp database, good luck ;)

(not worth mentioning that it's faster and has a lot more features...)

Actually, just figured out there is no need to modify the FPLaunch script at all.... Simply changing the table extension from vpx to vpt and set game to run with vpinballx.exe.

So, in typical VPF fashion... thanks for the non-constructive help!

Hello everyone!

i've got a "little" problem in vpx. I was using this beautyfull pease of software without any major problems till yesterday.

When I start the program and load a table the flippers, ball and other 3d objects are gone.

I have not seen this problem before but maybe some of you guys have an awnser to this?

Thanx in advance!

Ps: I realy appreciate all the hard work you devs and tablebuilders do, amazing!

You might have an anti-aliasing mode set in your graphics card drivers control panel. Reset this to default, please.

Up until the past build VPX has been exceptionally stable, don't know what's going on here. Cannot reproduce it, it just waits until I have forgotten about it and then infuriates me madly. I'm back to saving every 5 minutes now. Hope this helps in some way!

Hi,

I have one question:

Is there also an option coming with visual pinball 10 to see the glass from the cabinet?

Thanks.
