SEE HOW YOUR HIGH SCORES RANK AGAINST OTHER FORUM MEMBERS!!!!!!:

For any NEW MEMBERS the rules are:

Factory/Author settings.
3ball for all DMD scores and 5 ball for EMs and some author/factory settings.
No physics changing with table slope, or flippers strength, angle, No Changes period
Language change of course is OK
PLAY THE TABLE AS IS, any adjustments can only be made by authors approval and generated by a revised release.
Play the latest table in VP9 unless your system can't handle the larger vid/sound/lights of the newer tables
_________________________________________________________________
SUBMIT YOUR FAVORITE HIGH SCORES!!! No matter where it falls on the list!!

Make sure to include: AN EXAMPLE

1) Table name: Medieval Madness
2) Author/s: JP Salas
3) VP version: 9.1x
4) Table version: v2.3.1 <<---or if Full Screen add FS here
5) High Score: 1,000,000,000
6) DMD initials: GAG
7) A Screenshot of table/High Score
[PrintScreen/open Picture Viewer (Irfanview, MSPaint etc.)/edit paste/save to HS folder]

I had fixed the boot sector of my winxp install on my 8 year old harddrive, and got another two months use, but I had to replace it finally. The bad news was my 3/16/12 updates were lost I had backed up the previous year. Soooo!, I had to update from the 1/8/12 excel spreadsheet! Could be some mistakes, actually found a couple scores I had missed. whtflag.gif

A lot of you are doing a fantastic job of providing information listed above so its easy for me to track all these scores, while other scores are just going to be a quick guess. I used to compare pictures of tables, but if you can't take a minute to include all the info, than I don't need to either. Especially if you are adding a new Table to the High Score Update, it really would be nice if you included all the info!!?? tapping.gif whtflag.gif

SVEN/WWE: You are posting scores lower than your best....This is to update your high scores. facepalm.gif

CED: I appreciate your help in getting flipper settings for your fellow FS players Worship.gif , but I can't include any future scores in the HS list if the script physics have changed. and quite frankly it could make others wonder if you had adjusted flipper/or other settings on other HSs that you posted!! It sets a precedent, that others would perceive as acceptable to change the physics for their HSs. I am trying to say this in the nicest way possible.

RipleYYY: I totally agree with the nudging in vp9 getting way to much leeway, over mad flipper skillz. The proper combination of both, would be true enlightenment. I have most of the last couple years playing the real pins, so CONGRATULATIONS on your pins!! and playing the real thing, whenever possible.

Welcome to all the NEW posting members!!!

Nice score dblthumb.gif

it does freak you out when the hundred billions dont show after clocking it, but it does show as 00X,XXX,XXX,XX0

trying to remember how many times you roll it sucks too

Heh heh.....looked up at 104B and saw only 04B; not even a zero for the hundreds. After I trapped a ball, I sat there trying to remember any threads about twelve-digit DMDs.....came up empty (but that happens a lot).

Thanks for the 'double thumb', DedRok_V; it may be quite a while before I have to keep track of multiple rollovers. whtflag.gif

All right, I've been away really long, but now that I'm done with secondary school, you'll probably be seeing me here some more again smile.gif
Anyway, I just had a great game of Scared Stiff:

Table: JPSalas' Scared Stiff v1.3.3 for VP9.1x
Score: 106,702,260
Initials: MAX

EDIT:
Also, a high score for the new VP9 version of Haunted House.
I did roll over during this game. This was the highest score I could capture pre-rollover. After the rollover I got around 270,000 points.

Table: JPSalas' Haunted House v1.01 for VP9.1x
Score: 999,770
(settings: 3 balls and "novelty mode" OFF)

Is that score acceptable?

Actually, this table is the VP9.....at 800 x 600 with every possible thing turned down or off. I haven't done VP8 AFM or MM in a while, because multiball comes so badly unglued. I've read about increasing lighting refresh times (in VP9, of course); I wonder if that can be done in VP8 as well.....

Welcome back, Decidetto! Eleven months since your last HS post, I'll bet the withdrawal symptoms were severe. rolleyes.gif
Looks like you'll be opening two new doors; Scared Stiff v.1.3.3 isn't in the PDF yet (unless it's been updated by v.1.4?), and there are no Haunted House entries at this point. As far as rollovers are concerned, I vaguely recall talk of trying to get as close as possible without rolling over---like lagging for break in pool---but I don't think I'm capable of such restraint. lusty.gif Guess we need a seven-digit rom hack.

BTW, check out dna-disturber's PINemHi Leaderboard and get in on the fun!

Whoah, eleven months already? Sure didn't seem so long!

But whoops. That's quite a shame to get a great score for an outdated version of Scared Stiff. facepalm.gif
I'll have a go at the updated version. smile.gif

But about rolling over: is tilting the game right when you are about to roll over a "legal" strategy? Because that should help!
But of course, a seven digit hack would solve these problems instantly. Well, if the hacking itself doesn't bring up any worse problems tongue.gif

Is that leaderboard you speak of on this site? Or should I google it instead?

EDIT: Using Google, I found out it is on the forums. A bit of everything! smile.gif

EDIT again: All right. I'm not that serious a high scorer to want an extra program on my PC, and because the PCs I have regular access to are barely fast enough to run a standard table on its own, I think I'll stick to just screen-capturing for now wink.gif

Not being familiar with the table, real or virtual, I looked up the SS release threads; v.1.3.3, itself an update of the 'reduced' version 1.1 (only 17MB instead of 23+MB), has been updated to the current version 1.4.4.

...about rolling over: is tilting the game right when you are about to roll over a "legal" strategy?

Yeah; otherwise the difficult would become darned-near impossible.

No problem; once you have selected the table and VP version you want, PINemHi opens and renders the table, then sits in the background using zero % CPU while you play. At Game Over, you can ignore a poor score and press Start to play again, or press 'Escape' to either submit a good score (by clicking 'Yes') or (by clicking 'No') change tables or end the session. Piece of Cake! dblthumb.gif

What's a 'good score'? That's up to you. Look at the Leaderboard for the table you have in mind and see where on the list you'd like to be, and play until you get a score that'll put you there. Good hunting!

EDIT: Almost forgot---here's the Leaderboard website, in case you don't already have it: http://www.pinemhi.com/hiscores.php

thats a good score on HH wink.gif

btw, this is NOT a rule of course, but screen cap just before the rollover is not... fair !?
