guys, everythings cool.. no need for flamewars.. ;)

we wanna get this thing finished ourselves..

I get some pretty sweet stutter in newest releases. I tried 2044 and it works fine.

which table? and do you have an exact revision range? or is 2044 the exact last one that does not stutter?

all tables to varying degrees. I didn't save anything between 2044 and the last build so can't check

hmmm.. could be all kinds of things then.. difficult to say..

if you could somehow nail it down to some specific table(s) or even elements, that would also help fixing it..

Had been a while since I'd downloaded VP (since the announcement of KISS ).

Was newer versions supposed to break tables? The lighting doesn't seem to be as bright as I remember.

Seems to be good, they play ok, nothing major is broken. The kicker holes on my ramps have slowed down the ball a lot, this is a good thing really because the ramps that are currently in there are fast.

The scoop entry doesn't look as good as it did. Ball is disappearing before it gets under the scoop bracket. That could be adjust the size and move it back.

The rubbers got fixed? I think on every table I have placed 2 sets of rubbers. Rubbers at normal height were not collidable but a bottom set were, this got rid of the problem as pointed out by J finger.

Note: rev.2092 still reads rev.2087 in the about menu.

But more important: can somebody please tell me since when balls can climb upwards? ;)

I had similar issue with my inlane walls causing the ball to start from the flipper and roll up past the inlane switches. The inlane wall was Set at height of 40to 50. I think the problem went away when I set it to a height of 15 to 25.

I assume it's the inlane post causing the problem. What happens if you create a wall of height 0 - 50 in its place?

i just submitted a ramp fix, let me know if still weird things happen when fuzzel has a new version up..

@fren: good..  :)

if you spot some slowdowns again, please try to nail it down to some specific object(s), that would help extremely.

@heinmueck: this is definetly weird, but shouldn't have been caused by the later changes. i could imagine that maybe the space between the rubber and the left wall is a tiny bit too tight and then the engine just pushes it up due to this?

With the last two releases, the impulse plunger needs more force to pull the ball,

perhaps due to the fixing of ball spin (I think),

is not a big problem, just to say.

Thanks

Max

Happens on my PC also. Default table. I'm using a nvidia 560ti.

Yes, the space is too small for the ball. But the engine still shouldnt push the ball up like this, should it?

fuzzel, you are a machine!  I'm so glad that you, toxie and the others are taking such great care in making sure VP10 will be the best it can be when it gets released.  I'm also so happy that this is an open beta so we can all enjoy how it has taken shape.  a BIG thanks to you and all of the table devs, because without you I'd have to have dozens of real pinball machines in my house, and my wife isn't going to let THAT happen ever.  :)  CHEERS!

Is there any hope of a purely Mac / OS X version?

(I currently use Parallels, but that's an emulator running an emulator on my MacBook.)

I'm not a person who goes to work. I am my work. I'm in there. I'm in the middle of that whole thing. That's what I do. It's not a separate entity.

Well I wouldn't say it will never happen but porting this to Linux or even MacOS would mean to start from scratch. So don't expect this in the next years.
