Nope. Next one will be either Medieval Madness, Monster Bash, Attack from Mars, World Cup 94 or Theatre of Magic (tables I played in real)...)

All good tables. Obviously it's your choice, but MB or AFM would get my vote! MM would be my third choice. :)

Regardless of which tables are first, I'm just happy that this project is progressing!

For TSPP, please ask BilboX.

As his tables are nearly finished, he needs a new challenge ;-)

Nope. Next one will be either Medieval Madness, Monster Bash, Attack from Mars, World Cup 94 or Theatre of Magic (tables I played in real)...

Edit: romless, I'd like to adapt Abracadabra too :)

Medieval Madness please! Love that table :-)

I am so amazed with the progress you all have made with the simulator.  Your speed sculpt videos are pretty awesome as well!

Hello. Amazing work so far BilboX!!!.  BTW - I also go by PinBalt and you would have my permission for the AFM FP table layout that I did.  I assume Francissco already gave approval.  I would just ask if you could redo the Green Martians with your Modeling Skills that you have recently displayed with the Scared Stiff creatures and Uncle Fester!   :love39:   I am interested in updating some FP table layouts and would love to see them be turned into Unity 3D tables, e.g. Haunted House.

Silverball (PinBalt)

I am very psyched for this project.  I would also like to make a donation but I would like to specifically know what achieving the ~3,500 donation goal means for the project.  You have 1 Unity license already, so what does a second mean for PinBall Unit3D?  Does that prevent other people from creating tables/games with Pinball Unit3d?  Very pumped for this and just wanted some more details, if possible, before donating.

:otvclap: I like the sound of that!  Hopefully Unit3d Pinball will be more accommodating than FP for making the reverse-slope basement work.

Hi. Thanks for your approval! Yeah, Fransisco gave us approval for all his FP tables if I remember correctly... Yeah, green martians would be very fun to model :). I'd like to "finish" or at least go further with TAF, but AFM is a nice project...

Yeah, we can have 1 licence by now, but we need one each to legally continue development. Moreover, it is the only "reward" we take from this project, and it will allow each one of us to develop new cool games in the future...

No, it will NOT prevent every one to create/adapt tables to Unit3D Pinball: it was designed to be totally free. The "only" limitation is that the tables will not be convertible to the fast-loading upt format for end-users, but only "imported" from fpt. So the workflow will be to transfert the "final" version of the table and we will convert it to upt... Apart from that, everything you see in our videos is accessible to players/table builders... I hope this helps you ;)...

Re-watching Scared Stiff real-life physics again and comparing it to the Unit3d capture... I take back my earlier 'critique', it really is very, very, very close! I'm sure that I'll be able to tune to taste too :)

Very excited for this. Hopefully I'll be able to contribute something back to the development - I'd really like to provide some high-quality base mechanical sounds for the game, if you'd be interested, and really tune the feel of the audio in it if possible! Hopefully I'll have access to a pinball table soon that I can do a very detailed recording session of... the core mechanic sounds in most pinball games never quite capture the right 'oomph' and tone of the physical sounds for my liking (Pinball Arcade doesn't even sound close to a real thing!), so if I can help this go the extra mile I'd be more than happy to!

I use the playfield TV's speakers cranked up very loud to do the mechanical sounds.   This way, sounds resonate inside of the cab just like they do on a real machine, and they sound pretty convincing  (I have a real FG pinball to compare to).

I think the commonly used noises aren't too bad, but for me the bigger problem is that so many tables are using the exact same sounds.   Real tables all sound a bit different from one another    So, any work you can do to capture new high quality sounds would be very appreciated!

Lol. Thanks! It can't be better, because I need to reproduce the small lacks of plastic moldings to look realistic, but it is really smaaaaaaaall details: you don't look this close when you play!

Thanks! Yeah, do be close to the table builder's work, we use the sounds provided in the fpt table but we add "default" ones when it is missing... New sounds will indeed be better. Also, notice that in the videos there is encoding, and that I don't own a cab! If you rsounds are that good, we will include it in place of the "default" ones. In any case, providing pinball sounds to table builders is a good contribution, not only to UP but every open pinball simulation...

Hi Bilbox,

do you know if it will be possible to easily export or import sounds to the tables? (Same as in VP)

Cheers.

Hi. You mean from script? If so, it will be easy to "load" the default sounds or sounds included in the imported fpt "sound manager". Loading directly from a file is still possible but for now we did not included a utility function in our api...

Thanks!

I have to admit that I've never tried to change FP sounds. But I'm doing it more and more on VP to find the ones working best with my inside cab speakers + bass shakers.

Will give it a try !

Yeah - I was intending to provide a nice, complete and consistent set of sounds for every table builder to use, a sort of royalty-free cache if you will. It's really hard to source these things so when I finally get a chance to give something back to the community, it will be inclusive of for everyone :)
