I also noticed on your video and others that the table looks static but with 3d effect. When I move my head the table moves with me very accurately but fast so if I look right the table images move and stretch as well same for any direction I move.. Is this how it is suppose to work? Am I missing a setting?

Thanks again!

So maybe I need to adjust these settings?

  • Min dist - is the minimal change in "virtual cam" position reported from head tracking devices required to move "virtual cam" in BAM. If you increase this value, then bigger moves of your head will be ignored.
  •
  • Latency - BAM will get position of player's head (virtual cam) from head tracking devices. This value is the amount of time spent as the camera moves to a new position. Bigger value will make move smoother, but will increase "latency".

Boah, this looks REALLY nice!
randr, there is no official dealer for this kit in the EU, I think? Need this Kit, but shipping costs is very high :(
50 USD..
Another Question: how are these cams connected to the Computer? USB? So I need 2 USB ports?
Will they work on an USB hub?
Because I already plugged my 6 Usb Ports..

Thx,
HP

Yes shipping is spendy for sure...nothing I can do about that. Plenty of information on here to build it yourself if you wanted to. Yes you can use a hub

Thanks, randr.
Maybe I will try by myself to build.
Before i contact you to send me a kit finally, after I failed ;)
I watched some youtube videos. Taking out the filter, and placing this floppy foil should be no problem.
For the IR Led for the lens I can use any IR LED? Or special ones?
To the glass: what do you think about a battery in the glass, to power th IR Led? Possible? Like at the Samsung glasses of the 3D TV sets? Or is the power consumption of the IR Led too high, so a lipo battery is empty after a few minutes?

I use 950nm leds @5v but you can use 850 but will be able see slight red color with naked eye(I've used them in many kits) battery on glasses just won't be good enough in order to have enough battery you would make glasses unwearable.

Thank you for the info, randr.
Difficult to find 950nm IR Leds.
Will 940nm also work, what do you think?

Perfect. I go with those.
I ordered also 2 Ps3 cams with the curved lense.
I checked your calibration video, which is very helpful.
You mentioned cam mounting positons. Thinking at the position on the RGB flasher board below the glass:
Will this work, or will I get bad reflectins caused by the glass? Did you try this?

Finally a question to the calibration board: is the distance between the 4 IR LEDs important? Or can I do it approximatelly according the dimensions in your video? Maybe there is a drawing somewhere?
Thanks,
HP

Calibration board can be any size as long as you tell bam what size it is.

Ok, fantastic software.cares about everythinng.
Regarding mounting position of cams- at an earlier point in this thread, I have seen, that Pinball999 mounted them under the glass. But can not see really. Will it principially work under the glass of the playfield?
