cool thanks for the update rav. I will give that stuff at try tonight or tomorrow and let you know how it goes. Do you know any way to get the wiimote to auto reconnect after a reboot? I havent looked into it but I plan on researching it. Gonna be a pain if I have to resync the wiimotes every time i need to reboot.

First off as everyone else has said this is a really sweet mod..

On a side note..  I have the parts to build the WiiMote stuff, but won't have a chance till this weekend.  I thought I would try the PS3 cam one since I had a cam.  I installed the software for the cam on the PC, and the cam works when I run the cam test, but when I start bam and go to the PS3 cam I don't see anything.

Running XP SP3, i7 975, 16GB RAM, NVidia GTX 295

Anything thoughts about what I could be missing?

Thanks.

To run "PS3 Eye" You need drivers for multicam.

Here is instruction how to install drivers:

Does anyone have an issue with the table not fitting the screen ? I know it's supposed to auto resize but I still see a large gap between the side of the lcd and the table. I can see the side of the virtual pinball machine and gameroom floor.

I'm using a 37" lcd in a cab with the settings set correctly in BAM.

I tried using scroll lock but that will no longer change the playfield size.NiIwnRl.jpg

Mine cab behaves the same way. You just need to go into table and lighting menu, then at the bottom, under Table scale x: you can stretch your table back.

Mine usually defaults to .9999 ish and i stretch to 1.2200 ish depending on the table. Play around with all the settings especially happy cab.

under sway movement ranges, You'll want to add  values at x, y and z for a motion effect. Its good stuff especially extra values on the water themed tables

I think the idea is that BAM is maintaining the correct aspect ratio for the table.  If you just stretch the image to fit your screen width then I don't think the table will still appear in the correct proportions?

That was my thinking as well. The table should not be stretched to the sides unless you play pinball suspended in the air over the table.

I don't know about you guys, but I have a 39" led for my table. the default leaves around two inches of sometimes ugly space per side. For me stretching it a little bit doesn't hurt the look or 3d effect.

If I didn't stretch it, it would just be to small to play, it just doesn't feel right at all.  It's just a preference, and I'm happy with the results, still much better than default FP.

The trick is to delete the game room walls in the editor then you don't have as much ugliness. Also we're working on a proper set of table side walls etc that will fill all that in. Try spiderman and stretch the table to the walls, not the table, it comes out perfectly.

Hi!

I added FAQ on my page, and first question in FAQ is this problem.

nice faq rav. I do the same. I stretch each dimension to keep the aspect ratio the same. This seems to work the best for me.

Im pretty sure the kinect plugin is still being worked on. I still think kinect's lag is going to cause issues but well see. i have a kinect sitting across the room so I will give it a shot when a plugin is available. I more interested in seeing 2 ps3 eye cameras performing head tracking. If we can get that working smoothly it will give us a really cheap and easy head tracking solution. I currently have 2 wiimotes configured and that has been working well but having the "IR hat" on every time I want to play is annoying and I still havent found a way for the wiimote to auto connect to bluetooth after a reboot. Any updates on any of this Rav?

I asked Yesterday a men who work on kinect. He was just busy and like always there are more problems to solve than it appears at begin.

I hit some problems with EyeToys. They now work inferior compared to WiiMotes. PS3 Eye have better FOV but it creates distortions in captured picture. Think i can fix it before weekend.

I can now tell You how to modificate PS3 Eyes to trace IR-LEDs.
There are two kind of PS3 Eyes.
1. With hard/impsible to remove IR-filter. You can recognize it. Then You look at lens, it have visible silver ring.

2. With easy to remov IR-FILTER. This kind don't have silver ring.

From 1. king You can remove Filter,
Here is movie how to do it:

Then You remove filter You have to replace it with day-light-filter (high-pass).
I use this one:

If You have second type (like me). You have to replace whole optic.
From same source i ordered:
2x high-pass filter (for 2 cams)
2x lens mouting:
2x lens. I orderd pack with few types of lens:

I will probly use 3.6mm. I give me from 1m distance ability to trace/see objects 0.7m height. I tested 2.8mm, i can trace objecte 1.1m-1.2m but it creates huge distortions. (If hope to fix this).

All parts costs me ~$80.

I found cheap soruce in china:
I will test it later.
