Thanks! The genie is not quite there yet. I'll go back to it at some point over the weekend and I might post some renders of it, so stay tuned ;)

TOTAN Genie progress. Not a lot done on the hands and other details. Mostly face and pose/proportions for now:

But you can´t brush his hair, or take him everywhere....

The 3D models are great, but who will inplement them in the tables?

There's Future Pinball table authors chomping at the bit for all of these models...they will be well utilized.   :)  In fact, poor Kris can't crank them out fast enough for those guys...  ;)

Thank you so much, guys! :D
Next on the list: Attack from Mars' Aliens ;)
I already started them. Once I get them in a good state I'll go back to the other models and wrap them up. I can't wait to try implementing them into the tables ;)

I can't believe I never posted this over here!

I can honestly say that my solution is being tested for many months now with ZERO errors and it's SUPER CHEAP! Never got a double click and the thing works rock solid, just like in my real pinball.

The only thing you can do to improve it even further is to add a little bracket around it to protect it better. I remember bumping and bending it once when I was moving stuff around through the coin door. Even that problem is not a huge one, since you can get 10 of those for 30 bucks and have replacement parts "forever" :D

Make sure you use long/skinny screws with plastic spacers to fix it to the cab, since the holes are very little on those fellahs.

Here: http://www.pinballli...parent=101&pg=1

You don't need to get the "V" shaped ones. You can get an even cheaper straight one and bend it the way fits your machine better.

Also,

Just sharing a link with you guys.

So, my playfield TV turns on when the computer turns on and until it gets any image at all (at Windows 7 startup), those annoying HDMI, channel blablabla texts float around the TV.
I thought that a good solution would be a time delay smart strip, that would turn on everything only after the front end was up and running. That would be super clean.

Well, today I found and ordered this one: http://catalog.bitsl.../SMART/LTG.html

I should get it in a few days and I will let you know if it works. They say you can set anywhere between 15 to 60 seconds of delay before it turns the outlets on. I believe the whole boot thing takes about 30-40 seconds on my machine so that would be perfect!

I created a little mod to improve my contactors sound yesterday. The idea was based on this great little mod here:
http://www.hyperspin...ll=1#post180851

Here's the components list:
- Contactor (no way! :P)
- 2 large and 2 small washers
- Little screw
- Leftover perforated aluminum sheet
- Metal plate (the unused plates from some old blinds were a perfect fit)

1. Perforated sheet cut to fit under the contactor. This will be fixed back to the wood later,
2. I installed a small washer inside of the contactor, right on the base
3. I removed the little metal lock from the contactor's base
4. The plate I'm using is from some blinds rods I never used and the fit was just perfect so I just needed to slide it to the built-in slot in the bottom of the contactor
5. I added a little screw to the very middle of the metal sheet and added a sandwich made out of two large washers with a little on in the middle
6. I needed to cut off the tip of the screw so it's in contact with the bottom of the contactor, locking the washers in place.
7. Fixed everything to the cabinet and done!

Here's the difference it made. Left flipper is a regular 24v contactor, right flipper is the one I modded. The contactor was fixed using only two screws at this point. I believe that once I add two more, making the contactor really tight against the cabinet wall the thump will get even louder:

Seems like there is an extra click with the modded one that's a little out of place/time.

The extra click is coming from the button press itself :)
The way I filmed it was by using my left knee to push the left button and my right hand to push the right button, while holding the iphone with my left hand. My knee is pushing it without "tapping" while I'm actually tapping the button too much instead of simply pressing it. I think that's the extra click you hear in the audio :)

Hi Kris,

I've just seen one of your video showing Tron Legacy + Bam on your cab.

I've just installed it on mine, but I'm not convinced with the light settings..There are a lot of parameters to consider, and I'm not sure to go on the good direction..

I was wondering if you would mind sharing yours?

Cheers!

Sure, I can take a look at my settings tonight and post them here. If I remember correctly, the settings were barely touched, so most of the options are default.

These are my personal BAM settings used with the Tron table. Download and extract the file into your Future Pinball\BAM\CFG folder and rename it if necessary, to conform to your table' s name. I would strongly encourage you to use a clean, freshly installed BAM, copying your old one to BAM_BKP or something similar, so you can restore it if necessary. Tweak the settings and if you' re happy, just copy the .cfg file and rename the copies to match your other tables names, fine tuning them individually (same settings don't quite work the same for all of them).
