Thanks for pointing that out. Fixed it.

Putting the links to the documentation in the first post to make it easier to find.

Hey Zebulon.

Do you have a pinout for the ribbon connector on the 1st gen booster boards?

Thanks!

Sure do Spektre.

Upper right pin is Pin#1.

From Left to right:

Upper Row 15, 13, 11, 9, 7, 5, 3, 1
Lower Row 16, 14, 12, 10, 8, 6, 4, 2

On the ribbon itself it's 1 - 16 consecutively from the stripe.

Hope that helps

Sorry Vulbas, I was away for a week. Thanks for covering the thread for me...:)

You can connect the shaker directly to the booster board, just remember to put a diode on the motor if connecting to the older style boards.

Update for those awaiting their orders, the boards have finally left China and are on their way to me by DHL. I should be starting assembly by the weekend with any luck.

The mounting sleds arrived, here's a test assembly of the setup using some prototype board blanks.

zebulon, you think this is the piece that has burned? if this is so I can change it.

Nope, by reversing the diode you have created a "dead - short". It's been my experience that the gear motors are pulling enough current when they are shorted like that to damage the traces feeding the output, not the MosFET.

(you're now the 3rd person to do this...don't feel bad, you're in good company.... :))

Try checking the voltages at the test points in the attached diagram with a meter.

Not sure what you were planning to do with the other end so try this....
