They say that a picture is worth thousand words, so a beta table must be worth thousand pictures smile.gif

Since I'll be very busy the next weeks and I guess I'll won't be able to finish the table until mid June, then maybe you should like to play or test this beta smile.gif At leas you'll know how good it plays in your system. I have used a few alpha ramps, but not many, so it should run at full speed.

I haven't tested the table much, since I spent the weekend making the script playable. As far as I know the table should work fine, and the missing parts are mostly cosmetic, like a new backdrop with the scores and the game over, tilt ++ lights, the leds in the playfield, extra playfield sounds (rubbers, metals, ball falling ++). But since I haven't tested much the table there may be errors in switch numbers, switches not registering, lights not working ++ (the manual have some missing lights too). I don't think you need to report any of those errors, since I'll be checking all the switches and lights later. But if you find something that is different or missing from the real table, then I should like to know so I can add it or change it smile.gif

I have made the flippers the easy way: stacking 4 flippers on top of each other. In VP you can't put a flipper on top of another since visual errors will occur. I have reduced the visual errors as much as I could, but still you'll see some "see through" errors (the ball is seen through the flippers). The good thing is that you get the shape of the Gottlieb flippers without too much effort, and it is very easy to implement on other tables. Using an alpha ramp on top of the flippers isn't easy to adjust, but the flippers in this table are very easy to adjust and move to other tables, and the graphical errors aren't very visible (at least I can live with them smile.gif ) Those flippers should look better in a FS table, but I haven't tried them yet.

Still reading...? smile.gif

Well, it is only desktop version for now, but it shouldn't be too difficult to rotate since it is completely angle independent. The images are high resolution, so it will look nice in a cabinet.

Great news.
I would rather have a beta then have to wait anyway.
If someone rotates this thing for a cabnet, would it be ok for them to upload it as beta as well.? Fingers Crossed. smile.gif

Just an observation here, not a complaint as the table isn't even finished yet smile.gif, but when trying to convert this to FS and using settings of Inclination - 10, Field of View - 30, Layback - 80, it doesn't display properly, everything is too high... Upon doing some quick testing I have found that the apron isn't completely visible until it is lowered to 250 height, which is 210 lower than it currently sits. To get this to display properly using those settings, the Table Field Height will have to be dropped to at least -200 and everything adjusted accordingly.

Again, just an observation smile.gif

With further experimentation though, by lowering everything, it will then cut off the lower section instead of the upper section, so I don't see any layback view in store for this table, will have to settle with a 45 inclination

I had a quick play on the table, looks very nice.

One thing I noticed - I had a game where I hit the ball from the right main flipper over the plastic cover, hit the post just above the "double scoring" light and jumped off the table and disappeared. Could it be that the transparent cover to the lower level raises the ball a little and lets it "catch some air"?

I agree. Plays great.
Just got to try it out a few minutes ago.
One game the ball did get stuck behind the pop bumper nearest where the other poster said the ball left the table.
At first I thought it left the table as well, but I could hit the nudge keys and make the ball pop around behind the bumper. smile.gif

Table looks great. Two observations:

1. The lower playfield area looks oddly pixellated on my screen, whereas the rest of the table looks just fine. Could this be a settings issue though?

2. The ball occasionally disappears when, on the main playfield, it rolls across all or part of the lower playfield; it then reappears again on the other side.

Aside from that, looks/plays great.

While playing the beta I was wondering since this table does not actually have a dot matrix display will people who only use 1 screen for there FS setup get screwed like we do with Paragon? The table plays great! this is bringing back some memories of 7 year old me again, can not wait for the completed table in fullscreen!

Since I have never tried this I might give it a go just for fun.
Where in the editor are these settings accessible?

Open the editor, select Backdrop, and in the options under Colors & Formatting, you will see the values that need to be changed.

Thanks. That worked great and was very very easy to do.
There is a small black patch on the upper left of the table but overall it is a great temporary fix to be able to play this great table full screen.
