I'll see what I can do. Time is really a limit resource for me at the moment but you're right the way how you can rename a layer is not the best solution atm.
No problem there always no rush, thanks for acknowledging.

Am i doing it differently or?
I rename them the same way as if i was renaming anything in windows
If you feel the need to empty your wallet in my direction, i don't have any way to receive it anyways

Well you can do this by slowly double click the names. But if you click too fast it will select all elements of that layer. A hotkey would make things easier to speed up the workflow.
Hmm that is odd, because i do not have to do that.
Wonder if it is because of my windows setup?
I just hold it a fraction of a second and its ready for a new name

- A File, Directory, Name = F2 rename, F2 is pretty standard, I'm not going to make a list of everywhere it's used as I'll be here all night.
Instead of holding a mouse button to activate editing, one key is quicker, less fiddly and more natural.

seems slower and clunky to me, but options are always good

Good old keyboard Vs Mouse. That's a good description of how it is. Hold mouse click for 2+ seconds to activate editing and that's providing the "hold" event is successful to activate editing.
Pushing a key (under 100ms), type the name, enter, arrow keys, next, repeat. < hands don't leave the keys.

Why is yours requiring 2 seconds? That seems terribly abnormal?
Id never get anything done with it set like that, and that would be stuff other than VPX

225 is an awesome build, dev team! i haven't been on all the iterations but want to call out two huge user experience lifts since 169:
- plunger pullback speed and outright plunger wonkyness now working vastly better eg: Star Trek Enterprise Limited Edition (Stern 2013) Sixtoe 1.1 VR
- script search (Ctrl F dialog) works WAY better than it did in 169 where it would whiff on searches many times.
now that i know this is the bug reporting thread i'll continue to "deep test" (play my brains out) on a week off from work!
Thank you for all you do for this community, 10.7 is out of this world.

I noticed that the option "Set for LowEnd PC" and "Set for HighEnd PC" also changes the Display number, in a two screen setup I have, it always move it to my Intel HD integrated instead of the Nvidia card. I guess it should never change the display number that option, just tweak the performance settings.
It also alters the "Use Always FS backdrop" option, I guess too that the performance tweak shouldnt interfere with the rotation.
Good idea. I tweaked that now..
..i added some code though to include the error code, so if you could test the next upcoming RC and tell us the error code, that may help
Absolutely, thanks!
Please give this one a try then: https://github.com/v...070-win-x86.zip
