this is probably one of the highest quality tables i have seen and its my favorite table. I CANT WAIT TO PLAY with it.

You don't have to wait - it came out weeks ago!

This is a different version. smile.gif

I clearly need to start paying more attention! Just got 'em confused since they were being developed at the same time. D'oh!

the table is somewhat playable now and about the only thing left for me to do now is slice the images in photoshop for the reels and script them all in to get all the lights going and the reel animation which is animated in truespace at the moment and now need to get that working in VP.

Oh awesome its sounding better and better, you got an estimated release date?. Also Just curious but how many hours do you think you've put into building this table?
I've never made one but i should because it would make me appreciate the tables even more knowing how much time and effort that goes into creating one.

I can tell you he is working very hard on it. It takes a lot of hours to make such a table. He looks very on details and want to make the best release ever of fish tales on VP.
I am sure it's gonna be great!

Thanks again rdeejay, it's very appreciated!

And I can tell you guys, this table rocks!!!!
The best fish-tales till now on VP, the graphics are great and the table plays very good. Good fast table, great flipper settings and not too easy to play.
The transparant ramps by the way, are the best I have seen till now. dblthumb.gif

Well I am gonna play some more games, and help rdeejay with 'perfectionise' the table.

This is great news - FT is an awesome table (my favorite in fact) and I play melon's excellent recreation daily. I am very anxious to try this one out, the screens look amazing.

man i've been out of the loop for so long. Real life commitments had to take precedence etc, crazy earthquakes(4000+) since the big one have changed things a bit. I still haven't quite finished it as Debbus knows but if you are a desktop player(sorry cabbies) and want to have a sneek peak and run your screen at 1680x1050 pm and i'll give you a link. The reason i say that res is because of the way the reels work and i can make it look good at one res but it is broken at another res but 1680 seems to be a good norm.

btw thanks Debbus hope you're still enjoying it biggrin.gif

I am a desktop player and play at 1680x1050. I would be happy to help test the table out.

Edit: Sorry, i just noticed the 'pm' part of your message.

I just had a go at a couple of games. The screen shots do not do this table justice, you have to see the lighting in action. The first thing I noticed was the realistic transparent ramp and other plastics, and the convincing effect of the lights under them shining through them. The lighting and models on the table look more like something you would see in fp, or something with a 3d engine. It really looks cool.

It plays differently than melons awesome version, but mainly because the pov is slightly different. As with melons version, the ball movement and physics are convincing and the flow of the game is great. I am well experienced with ft and was able to adapt to aimed shots very quickly.

In the two fairly short games I played, I didn't experience any hangups or bugs. I will note that I did experience some slight ball stutter during some intense light sequences and multiball in this wip version of the table. I do not have the newest pc, a core 2 2.4ghz, 4gb of ram and and nvidia 9800 1gb video card, but I am able to run every other table w/o stutter. This table looks incredible and as a result it is more demanding than other vp tables. This is not meant as a criticism, most people probably have faster pcs, and as stated before the table is in wip. The stutter I experience is occasional and not game stopping, I am still enjoying it thoroughly.

I gotta go play a couple more games before bed. Thanks rdeejay!

blushes....hey you have to remember this was my first table so sorting out optimizations etc..hmmmm, heck even i dont have the most awesome pc around to play Vp tables and even on my own table i can get just that ever slight stutter but that has to do with the light effects etc(in some cases 5 step) glad you like it so far...and plz i'm open to suggestions to make it even more awesome
