really nice table! how can i activate the dmd for counting the score. i see one in your desktop mode screenshot on the upper left but when i start the table there is none (portait mode).

Time for a DD refresh.

 

Now that I have honed my skills a good bit more, its time to give the Doc a checkup...and a facelift. Here is whats coming:

• New Mixmaster: Now correctly modeled with the sloped sides...and BTW, its NOT a Prim. This bitch took a long damn time to get right. Also, The ball action in the MM is a now, truly "random". Currently, the ball exit is controlled by a timer and an exit gate which lead to very consistent (almost routine) ball action. Now, the ball might stay in there a second...or maybe six seconds. Much more realistic...more random like it should be. And hopfully, no violently ejected balls. LOL
• Improved ball and object physics: Its now not as "erratic" as before. Ball action is just better.
• New lighting: Big improvements here and no more fog. Playfield just pops like it should.
• Big Shot Bully animations: The Bully now shakes as he jumps up and down just like on the real machine. Thanks GTXJoe.
• Various objects re-scaled to exact size.
• Shadow layer. Thanks Haunt Freaks.

NIce work, wrd! The lighting does look much improved. Didn't realize this table had any fog at all until you cleared it just now. Great looking table looks even better. Just a small matter of personal preference, but I like the "sparkly" stickers on the Molecular Mixmaster just a bit more. Either texture works quite nicely though.

The new MM is made from a ton of ramps and yes...the sparkly is more authentic. This texture does look good on the top ramp surfaces, but turns to crap on the side surfaces becasue it seems to stretch. This might end up being a trade off. That said, I am still trying to find a way. I plan on having the usual experts try to figure that one out.

Hi,

Trying to load this table but VPX throws an error message: "Visual Pinball cannot load a file of that version".

 

There must be something I need to update? Can anyone help please?

Hey all, I got the opportunity to play a real Dr. Dude (in about 20 years) while on vacation recently. Got lots of video and pics to improve visuals and especially physics. Expect a bad-ass refresh in the coming weeks. I really wish I owned the real thing. What an awesome under-rated pin.
