I'm certainly way under your level fren and working hard to stay at it. ;-)

I'm not a table author, I'm a masochist who has already spent 150+ hours on Argosy 2015 and it's still, first guess, a 300+ hours away from becoming something remotely playable.

I have uploaded three tables to my web page. The "Papa Smurf", that you all already know, with just a few small changes. And two new tables: "JP's Nascar Race" and "WOW Monopoly".

I was playing with the idea to make a few tables using a rom and adding my own sounds and graphics, maybe even changing the layout. That didn't went so well and it ended up with these three tables.

I need a lot of more time to find sounds and music for the two rom tables, but I guess it will never happen.

I wasn't going to distribute these tables, since I know what people think about using a rom for your own tables, so I mostly made them for myself, since I had never made those tables before. But after I saw Mopar and it didn't got crucified by using the black pyramid rom, so I thought "what a h*ll I'll upload them" :) They are far from finished, but they are playable (the Papa Smurf table is finished, and it is a desktop table).

Well, use anything you want from these tables, but don't start making mods :)

You can find the tables in my web page, in my signature :)

Greetings

JP

Mods are ok mate! We aren't full programmers (well at least no more in my case lol) and I will do the same to learn more. Until I can create one from zero ... yeah right lol

Thanks for the share JP!

Lol whatever, it's cool.

Haven't been able to test one with pinmame yet but did open the Monopoly. Is the table fine having so many objects set with 0 friction?

Alright, I am late too the game.  King Kong VP10 beta.     https://www.dropbox....g beta.vpx?dl=0

It's a beta, still lots to do but table should be fully working... I think :).  This table with the steep left ramp and left wire ramp never really worked in VP9 or PM5, so finally this table may see the light of day

VP10 topics:

Looks like there is a bug where visible kicker holes located on the playfield show up on any walls above the kicker, see upper playfield and apron

Maybe gates should allow images to be used, like Spinners support.  On this table, the upper cage gate is supposed to be a cage door.  I guess I need a primitive with appropriate pivot point to do it in VP10

Playfield and plastics are from Francisco666's Future pinball table.

It's after midnight, so I tried the new VPX tables tonight ;)

JP's Nascar:  Wow, what a polished table!  Excellent re-theme, high quality art assets kind of blew me away, I think I prefer this to Stern's pin!  The toy is also pretty awesome.  BTW, on the latest VP10 beta exe, I got a few "VP10 stopped responding", first time I have seen this error on VP10!  On a whim, I re-installed an exe from a few revisions back and the issue did not come up at all, so not sure if it's something rendered unsupported with the new beta exe, I guess we'll find out with more people playing

WOW Monopoly:  Holy cow, another retheme that blows away the Stern Pin.  If I was Stern, I'd seriously think of licensing the WOW Monopoly board game (no idea if it exists but brilliant idea!) and re-release it as a limited edition table.  Very cool, would love to see new internal ROM images reflecting this re-theme but I know it's doubtful we would see this.

Note:  For both of these, I'm seeing considerable frame rate drops.  I just got a new Nvidia 960 but this could be driver related and I noticed a new driver was released yesterday, so will have to try this tomorrow and report back. Whatever the case, extremely impressed with both these tables

King Kong:  Long awaited, does not disappoint.  I know it's not final and some shots may need tweaking but you can see the potential and why for some, it's a pseudo holy grail of a game (the layout seems kind of fun!, though obviously the rarity plays a role here).

Randr:  Don't go sulking in the corner, I'll try your DOF test table tomorrow, it's kind of late here and I HAD to watch the Ottawa Senators tonight ;)

Thank you JP,

the Nacar table is awesome. I had to reduce the ballsize to 49 otherwise it got stuck on the left upper part of the playfield!

Question: how do I remove the blue box under the DMD?
