1. If I didn't have to work, I think I could play pinball all day. So yes, being able to take pinball with me on the fly with my portable electronic device is going to be AWESOME. And no, I don't need to play every 5 mins, but I'm a big boy and I can choose to play when I want.
2. Some people thought fire was a stupid invention. Those people were neanderthals. They died in the miserable cold with their own happy opinions. If you can't see and feel how one program can emulate physics better than another than you may as well go sit out in the tundra.
3. VP rocks. So does FP. If VP wasn't around I'd still be estatic to play FP. Pinball is pinball. Although technology is making some pinball better than others...
4. Now that I've made my post I think we should stop feeding the troll. smile.gif I almost have to believe his comments are just there to rile us all up. Probably not worth our time or the data storage for the site....
5. Will this be supported on the iPad 3 when it finally comes out?????

Future Pinball was is and always will be, shit.

Shit means good, right? I remember the first time I ever played Future Pinball, the greatest pinball simulator of all-time, I nearly shat myself. I know if I was on a desert island and had to choose between Future Pinball and Selma Hayek, I'd be banging FP. Go Pinball! Go JonBaker!

Maybe FP would be banging selma hayek on the island since it has balls and a plunger? Who TF is selma hayek?

Edit: All kidding aside, yes we have an FP section here but this is predominantly a VPForums, especially since there is a whole other site devoted solely to FP. So why would someone choose this forum to tout the superiority of FP. It's like going to GoPinball and saying VP is superior to everything else but never posting here. Baffling, but it makes makes perfect sense using troll-logic.

Downloading Appshopper now.
Could not find it in the app store either.

Thanks for the Appshopper tip. It worked great.
Getting the Pinball Arcade now for just 99 cents. All four tables are 8.99

Tried out some TOTAN and RBION so far. The thing that seems odd to me is the physics between the two tables seem really different. Ball seems much heavier (especially around the flippers) on RBION.

Still waiting on android. Bah! Not that I'm too excited about these apple/android versions. They clearly won't be anything like they will on the consoles or PC, but hopefully at least decent for a phone game. Flippers start angles look off, but we'll see how it plays.
I'm actually kinda bummed out today, as I read that the PC version won't be out until later this year, which to me means summer or fall.
Of course the version we all want most will be last! Hope its worth the wait, but I will enjoy the console versions ASAP.

When downloading more tables, don't forget to prevent ipad from going into sleep mode, or else download will fail...

Android version is coming tomorrow night.

Last I heard, the PC version was still on track for late March, the same time as 360/PS3.

Very true.
Took me three tries before I figured out what was going on.
Also on the iphone I find the "low" camera angle to be the best, otherwise the ball is way too small for the tiny screen.

tested it on my ipad2 today. it's good, but there is some room for improvements

+
.ball looks awesome - just WOW
.sound is nice and clear

0
.physics could be a bit better (more weight on the ball and faster ball speeds)
.graphics looks good... not perfect, but ok. some elements are a bit blurry/low res.
.ramps are ok, but could be better. and there are some missing stickers on the ramps

-
.no flasher effects! (no alpha lightning effects, just a little light up of the flasher dome)
.dmd without dot matrix dots
.no access to the service menu, adjustments

cheers
Chris

Ah, that's much better! otvclap.gif Apology accepted. If you haven't noticed, the focus of this thread is the latest updates on Farsight Studios' fine projects posted by and discussed by people who are really looking forward to it. There's a perfectly good FP forum right here on VP where you can start your very own Farsight thread and bitch all you want about it. So... get to work! dblthumb.gif
