if you want something to do there are plenty of VP6 40's -80's tables that will be great for an update to vp9FS at irpinball.org......i rotated the 70s and 80s  as far back as 905 in 2009 for FS on 1 monitor....they look fine and play great in any 91x on my modified XP desktop with a 2.4dualcore, HighSpeed ram and no card.....they do need a little work with the normal tweaks for the FS conversion......the script wizards will need to modify the script for the B2S.....

Chas baby where are all these mods you've made, upload them, anything created by Leo Wanker can be modded that covers at least 30% of them. ;)
i did ask if i could UPLoad my VP6 mods to VP9FS a long time ago.....i was denied because of author rights and permission......

Did you ask the authors for permission?

There is at least one author a Mr Leo Wanker that has given permission for all his recreated tables to be modded, without permission, have you been watching? ;)

im pretty sure i asked the forum for permission in the early thread....they said no....repsect the authors.....

i must have missed the part where i was given permission.

im pretty sure all or most play.........some need a little more work....ball size, kickers, flipper scaling and strength.....i did most of the work so they will play in vp91xFS......

use any 91x for these because of the ball size update thing for pinmame and "createsizedball" in the VP6(nonpinmame) script.

anything less than 91x wont work.....errors....i think errors before 91x will be "does not support this method" and maybe a few more......they play on my desktop with no card and high speed RAM.

ill upload....i need to use a better connection or a public wifi....my home connection probably wont work.

my vp6 conversions to vp9FS are about 1.57gigs.

vp8 conversions are about 1.87gigs.

will a public wifi work for the upload and do i have permission for this?

The idea is Chas that you should ask the authors not the forums. IMHO though, if you upload a table, it should work, if it doesn't work right, i don't think it should be uploaded here, you could upload somewhere else and post a thread about it asking for help.

Also ensure you give credit to the original authors, if not, you are liable to start getting a lot of refusals when you ask for permission to mod.

Steve: I saw that but I don't think Chas did. :)

well my bad i guess,,,,i had the idea that the authors were a part of the forum......if i posted the authors will see that i am asking permission.....nobody replied..... where do i start....there are too may authors to contact and how do i contact them......some are long gone....some of these from irpinball.org vp6 tables and authors go back maybe 10yrs(2002)...thats the idea i think many are missing.....go into the irpinball.org site 70's tables and look at the age of these tables.

I would be only too happy for someone to update my tables, some I did with Luvthatapex so be sure to check with Franco first but I can't see any problems.. Would really like to see my tables in full screen so I can play them on my cab (hint hint) . Cheers Brettski... :)

It takes effort to contact people but its not that hard either. I will leave that to you.

i dunno if i will upload....i dunno if anybody will like them....graphics are old.....still need more work....might be boring.....

so what does everybody say....they play ok. ....some need more work....

these are old VP6(nonpinmame) conversions in the VP9 editor to FS.... 1 monitor with the score reels and BIP etc iin the aprons or plunger launch.....just create a VP6FS folder, load the tables into the folder and play in any 91x.....ill upload..... the forum will probably kick it any way......do you want my vp6 conversions from irpinball.org to vp9FS?

On IRPinball there is two JPSalas oldies, I believe it's Fun Park and Ball a Poppin, (if I remember correctly), which looks very nice converted to FS. Off course you get no backglass / scoring display doing so.

I (once again) give a blanket permission to anyone who wishes to mod my old EM's up to VP9 standard.

Go for it and share with all.

Definately Old Chicago,   as my build has the legs off on an original Old Chicago table :-)

I would love to see an updated version of zacharia earth wind and fire.
I brought this table and im almost finished of making a coffee table from it because the backglass was missing when i brought it.
A month ago i took pictures from the plastics and playfield and posted them on the forum.
So thats my request.

Earth Wind & Fire is a vpm table :) Destruk has already made the script, so it will be a matter to update the graphics :) Nice table to start with, not too difficult to make in VP. Anyone? :)

Earth Wind Fire isn't an EM table... but it would be nice to have an updated version of it. I used to play the real table quite a lot 30 or so years ago.

It is a simple table as far as gameplay goes, so it'd be indeed a good starter table with an existing version to build upon.

Problem is, it's not easy to find resources for it (or for a lot of other Zaccaria tables for that matter). It'd probably require a complete playfield redraw and contrary to the layout, the artwork is not too simplistic.

Edit: Hm... I don't know how did I miss your upload thread slashbot... just looked at your photos and actually those plastics and playfield pics are really good. They'd only need some touchup at the top to reduce the glare but seeing what vampirolatino2 and Shadowsclassic were able to do with the Fire! playfield, this should be easy for someone with sufficient graphics editor skills. Wish I had that because this looks like a fun project.
