It's the lightgun games that don't like multiple monitors. My lightgun doesn't work unless the backglass is the only monitor turned on. It's not enough to just have the game on the backglass, I need to turn the others off.

Right now, Display Fusion runs in the background and switches screen profiles with some AHK scripts for the lightgun games.

I'll look into configuring DF to run only when my MAME front end is running. If I can do that, it should solve it. It's just odd that VPX 10.6 and Display Fusion cohabitate, but not 10.7.

Thanks for all the help getting to the bottom of this.

Same for the other issues we saw earlier on. No clue why this happens now, as the only major things that were changed was the UI and the use of multi-threading for loading. And both should be harmless, especially with that additional command line param mentioned above.

When I tried the 152 version I think it was, it also increased the loading time of the tables a lot.
Later I put the 163 I think I remember and I passed the ccleaner and it was solved.
What I don't know is if the 10.7 beta revision solved it or the ccleaner pass.

The 152 version is what's linked at the top of this thread, right? Where can I get the 163 version?

BTW, I also occasionally run CCCleaner to remove old files and free up disc space. I happened to run it just the other day. So, for me at least, that didn't solve it. I haven't run the CCCleaner registry cleaner in a while though. I tend to try and stay out of the registry unless a problem requires it. But maybe this warrants running it.

no rev192 is the current beta version at the top of the thread, it moves fast!

Ahh. And it looks like I'm mistaken, I'm already running 192 after all.

You do not need previous revisions, you must put the last one, the current 192_rc. Which I think you already have.
Rev 152 or 156, I don't remember, I tried it about two months ago, because then it was the last one and rev 17x last month.
The previous reviews I did not test, I started testing them when tables that require 10.7 started coming out.
Now I am doing quite well, I have tested it with 200 or 300 tables in the last two months and I have not seen any failures, the only thing I saw at the beginning was that excessive loading time, especially in some tables, which has not happened to me again. with this latest revision.

It seems that some textures do not appear in the texture manager, whole lines are missing that are existing in 10.6. Fuzzel meant that it could be that changes made in 10.7 are causing this. Just look at my BBB 2.4.7 mod available here in the forums.

I couldn't find the MOD, only your sentence 'Nowhere as I have no time to finish it at the moment, working on a different important project.but it’s not dead just delayed.'  ;)

Is it expected that the 10.7 beta might result in slower table load times? Or am I just imagining it's slower? ;)

Just in case anyone is following along, I got this sorted.

It turned out the issue was a background program I'm running for monitor profile management called Display Fusion. (see previous posts)

The folks at Display Fusion solved it. DF has some "compatibility" settings and I was able to use those to tell DF to not apply its "application hooks" to Visual Pinball.

I added VPX 10.7 and 10.6 (just to be safe) to the DF compatibility settings. Worked like a charm. Now my load times are back to the 12-15 second range.

@ClarkKent: I downloaded the https://www.vpforums...&showfile=15096 as you told me, but the contents of the image manager list looks exactly the same in 10.6.2 vs the latest beta (Rev 196).

Or is this due to you having started the table with -play ?

Cause then the images are not loaded/converted for the UI anymore to save time and memory.

So, I'm going to go ahead and add a further data point in favor of moving the screen rotation up a level to application level instead of table pov level. Someone on one of the Discord servers was asking about FLIPPING landscape mode, although more specifically for the front end media at first, because they literally can't stand at the left side of their cabinet to configure it - I would assume because the only place the cabinet can live has the left side of it right up against a wall.

rev202 is up (Release Candidate):

- cleanups

- remove invalid references (incl. the <None> entry from droplists) before saving, too
- display a warning-image in the UI if no images loaded (i.e. loaded via -Play) AND 'loop' the loading/select-file dialog when enabled in the preferences (i.e. after having played a table this way and exited, then unload it and directly be able to select the next table)
- when using save-as for table saving, go to the same folder and prefill dialog using the same name as the current table
- change default scale for SSR to 0.5 so that old tables that didn't explicitly set this up are not that much influenced

Not a beta issue, but what exactly does the screen shot function in table info do?

Does not use it as a loading screen, and does now actually show the image any place?

Is it a not yet quite implemented feature?

Lazy question of the day:

If I am updating from the last release candidate can I just update the executive? Or at least skip the scripts folder. I like to avoid having to update the scripts for my configuration after I update. Thanks.

you should overwrite, I rename the old VPX executable because I have to use it to properly configure my resolution... I can't use the beta to change anything graphical so that's my workaround although I'm quite a few revisions behind at this point.

Hello, I've been away for about a year and decided to update everything and try some of the new tables out.  I was running vpinmame 3.3 and vpx 10.6.  I uninstalled vpinmame and installed 3.4 and have overwritter the last couple of RC's for vpx (192 and 202 now).  when i launch vpinmame the version is 3.4 and if i open up vpx it says the version is 10.7.  All of the tables seem to work except when i try a new one.  It says im running ver 10.6 and the table is 10.7 and of course the playfield is just white.  What am I missing?  Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks
