Off topic, but since Farsight cabinet support came up....A.S.K. just put up cabinet support on Steam. One screen only at the moment....

I was under the impression that all the VE's coming out (starting with spiderman) were going to run on SPIKE.  Anyone know any different?

It's great to see so many smart guys provide worthy comments within this topic. From the innocent sincerity of our African poster, to J.P.'s moral balance, from Rascal's focus on the heart of the matter, to Paul's cabinet shadows. I enjoy the newer Stern's because they are available. If they weren't available I'd feel just as satisfied with this hobby by playing the other tables I've downloaded. I firmly agree that virtual pinball only deepens one's appreciation for the real tables. When I got to play a real Whoa Nellie this year I felt more confident from having tasted the layout first. So thanks to the anarchists, and thanks to Paul for trying to uphold what he believes in.

So Williams is fine with free VP cabinet versions of their tables but want an insane licensing fee for (inferior) cabinet versions from Farsight? That doesn't really make sense. Good thing I haven't released NGG, wouldn't want to cause trouble. :)

well I see it like this... with the william stuff , well to tell ya the truth all of it....

what we do here is free emulation of cool titles... I think the free the key point....

tables are free, the emulation is free , the b2s stuff is free...

so what would the argument be

"hey you, stop making free tables and not profiting off them" ?

lol

Your balls will be too small, the table will be too dark or it will play too hard b/c the VP8 version was easy! :-)

Not sure why you guys are so down on the feedback for your tables... seems like all I read for your tables is praise for the most part.

Man this thread is so entertaining, But seriously I think you can take pills to make your balls bigger. Ask Clark Kent.

When I think about Stern's Ghostbusters I think of the time I spent with Bodydump out at the Vegas Pinball Museum last month. It was the first time I played Ghostbusters because lets face it,  unless you buy one or know someone, it's nearly impossible to ffind one to play. Needless to say, Tom and I had a lot of fun.

It was only fitting after spending 10$ each on a few games of Ghostbusters we stumbled upon a Virtual pinball machine with a coin dispenser. Here's a great shot of Bodydump and one of his tables loaded (Airborne) on that virtual machine. Did anyone ask him for permission? Nope.

But hey its all for a good cause as the money gets donated for charity. At least I think it does.
