I keep having to delete the nvram for MB in order to make the Frank targets come up

Junky

.
Read post #166 of this thread . .. seems to work this way without deleting nvram at all

Thank you.  This method actually DOES seem to fix the issue.  I did read that post before and thought I followed the instructions correctly, but I did not.  The key difference is that I pressed the big "X" to close the program after saving. Pressing File and then Exit is the trick.  Strange, but GREAT

Thanks again

Junky

Just wanted to report that on my AMD FX Black (6 core) / 4GB ram / Nvidia 550TI based systems (running XP), this table runs *flawlessly*. 130 FPS average even through multiball modes.

Truly a triumphant work, UW. Thank you so much for all of the work you've put in to this (and all!) of your tables.

I have very bad ball stutter on my system, doesn't get above 30 fps. I have tried the registry ddraw and vsync fixes but it's no different. My spec is;
Intel i3 2700
Nvidia GTX 650Ti
8gb ram
Windiws 7

Just tried the DX9 test version of Vpinball on the latest Monster Bash 2.1 PC Killer Edition.  I configured the video options to Windowed Full Screen 1920x1080 and ran as admin.  To my amazement I was getting an average FPS of 902 with very smooth ball movement.  This is very encouraging since I can only get 40-50 FPS with the current DX7 Vpinball.exe with this same table.  Here is my hardware configuration:

Windows 7 32-bit

Core i7-2600k overclocked to 4.2Ghz

4GB Corsair Extreme RAM

256 GB SSD

EVGA GTX 660 2GB Overclocked Edition (Playfield)

nVidia GTX 560 Ti 1GB (backglass and DMD)

Thank you very much for this great release of one of my favorite table! Thats very good looking and very nice physic, i haven't could play it before. But with dx9 test 4 i can play it in win 7 :) but thats one thing, thats too easy the flippers is too near each other. The ball cant drain between the flippers. I set the length of them too 119 and thats more realistic.

I agree, the table was too easy because of the small gap between the flippers. I did pretty much the same thing to fix this :)

As I'm just curious: Is there any reason why the movement of drac and frank is so jerky and always stops a short moment while moving?

I believe it is due to how pin mame reads the solenoid calls. I'm going to work on this in the final update

Also going to remove 3/4 of the gi textures and change everything over from alpha ramps to flasher objects. So it will be one texture per gi bulb and one texture per flasher. I also plan to raise the whole table up about 60 units so the scoop will be an actual hole that the ball needs to fall into. I'm doing this so I can use an actual model for the creature as there are sometimes issues with the flasher on that.
I also have a setting done so you can disable the ball momentum engine and revert back to the original tables physics. I'm starting on raising the table today, then I will move on to swapping the ramps with flasher objects, then I will work on smoothing out the Frank and drac animations.

Kudos to you and of course to Randr, the model master. You have put a lot of work in this table and we truly appreciate it.

Looking forward to the update

I had absolutely no hope of running this before, even with a 2GB GTX660 - but with the DX9 990 Vpin, this table runs now smooth as silk ! Really enjoing it but can;'t get ol franky stood up.

I think this is the most beautiful VP table I've ever seen. I converted it to physmod and have been highly impressed with just how pretty it all is. Uncle Willy you really did an amazing job.

I went into the diagnostic test menu, frank tests, ran the test which brought the target bank up and down. After this, everything was fine and I never had to do it again. It seems that somehow the game starts with the target bank mid-way but doesn't know. I'm not too sure why running the test solves it. It really could be corrupted NVRAM from a previous version. Who knows.
