Rapid Vienna 2011 WS

Version: 2011 WS
Category: VP/VPinMAME 9.x - MOD Tables

Author(s): Starman7007, Widescreen version by Bob5453

Description:
Widescreen Version
Rapid Vienna - For Wide Screen Monitors ONLY!

Replaced lights with image lights and removed all of the font decals and added all music to the Sound Editor. This means there are no Fonts or mp3's to install anymore.

Zipfile contains only a .vpt file and a readme file.

Updated the Ramps.

Thanks to Starman for giving me permission to do this.

Please Read the ReadMe file as it contains directions on installing the 2 included fonts and directions on how to place the MP3 files into the "Music" folder

Starman7007 possibly created the best Original table of all-time about 8 years ago.

I have tried to MOD/Update Rapid Vienna without marring the beauty of the original game or the light show. The light show is simply amazing and uses normal VP lights, it might look better with dropwall lights or the new image lights, but I wanted everyone to see what can be done with VP right out of the box with creativity.

Thanks to Starman for giving me permission to do this and I hope this table inspires a few people and I hope I did the table justice.

I also use the new default VP nudge, no adjustments, I think it works great on this table as it feels like you're kicking the ball when nudging.

Enjoy.

Thanks again to Starman for creating such a masterpiece.

Looks great Bob. And yes, it's the best original I've ever seen. Wish I had a computer that could do your version justice.

I noticed I didn't line up the RAPID and the VIENNA very well on the Backdrop. They were lined up at one time, but I must have moved one of the layers in Photoshop. sad.gif

Is there away to put the soccer arena from the WS pin into the 4:3 pin without changing the pin to WS ?? Great job on the WS conversion of this pin and also to VP Bob5453

This backdrop is in a widescreen resolution, so it would look really squished in 4:3 and the Original 4:3 table uses much of the backdrop for the score display and the cabinet, so it wouldn't work well. I had to remove tons of stuff from the Original table to convert it to FS and this is just a WS conversion of the FS table. Hope that helps.

Thanks Bob for this version. I use 4:3 so i had to make a few changes to the backdrop & table but i think it turned out pretty well.

I changed the x scale to 1, then i had to add side & top rails to the table. then you have to move the lights at the bottom of the table to the left, then i had to fill in the blue at the top of the backdrop.
