Hello all,

Arcade fan here smile.gif What is currently the most reliable version MAME emulator in terms of performance and the look? I’ve seen some new ones that were supposed to be better then older ones but unfortunately they didn’t play most of my favorite games?

You feedback is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Nash

I think you may be using your old roms in a newer version of mame. For some reason, the mame devs like to mess with rom sets and unfortunately, this causes some games to stop working. Either get the newer versions of the games or stick with an older version of Mame.

Thanks for reply. Where can I find new roms? Are you saying that old roms are not updated for the new mame version.

I'm still on version .92 and happy with it, I downloaded it few years ago in 18 GB complete torrent with roms, screenshots, artwork, ... added only history file and cheats database

beats the hell out of downloading roms one by one

over 3000 games - more then i will try in my lifetime, and i'm not crazy for the new mame games because my time was around scramble and galaga and phoenix and so on.

Got this error when trying to register at pleasuredome: Unable to send mail to that domain (MX record should be a CNAME, not IP address)

(I have no idea what this is about)

I am using the email address I got with my internet service since my main email is a free one.

I could have been smart, but I never learned anything by being smart!

Here's a little trick I use when I sign up for random websites and the like...

http://www.guerrillamail.com/

It's a temporary E-mail address that is active only for an hour then it's gone. If you need the address again just re-enable it and it will serve it's purpose again. So for instance if you need to confirm a subscription to a website you just go there and activate the email address and then sign up at the site you want and they'll send the confirmation code to your guerrilla email. After an hour the email address vanishes. If you someday forget your logon to that site you can just go back to guerrilla and re-enable the address and have the site you wanted to access send the information to your temporary email again.
I'm a little paranoid about giving random websites an email that can easily be traced back to me rolleyes.gif At least this way they'll have to work for it to find out who I really am. laugh.gif

I'll check that out Neo!

OK tried using guerilla and I still get the error. I tried using Firefox after remembering that some sites won't recognize input done with Opera but still no dice.
