Hello, i'm french 41 years old.
I love Vpinball and Futurepinball, I play before 4 years but my english is so so bad.

I use a translator.
I played for several years has vpinball on an arcade. But I dream of building a virtual miniature pinball with 2 screens. I have an LCD 19 (16 / 9) and a screen 15 (4 / 3).
I intend to use hyperpin.
I do not know what tables utilsées spanned or full screen.
I do not know how to use files uvp ...
An angel could he do a tutorial from a to z with photos.
I test for 3 weeks and I am completely lost.
My computer is full of test files.
I see the presentation hyperpin tables in full screen and I get either the two screens on my 16 / 9, the backglass is running on the 4 / 3 and a black screen on 16 / 9 .... I snapped.
To say I am ready to use paypal to succeed.
Please please please.
I'll make a table football, I am calm.
Good games
My wife hates you all, but my kids and their friends love you, and me to. Thank you for all.

Hello,

Step 11: When I move the dmd on the second screen, it becomes black and disappears score. Even if I restart VP (after saving) the dmd is on the second screen but it stays black. Where is my mistake?

Can I use the active backglass on the second screen? I suppose so. This should afford the same result as Hyperpin.

I do not understand the differences DMD UVP active backglass ... Can you enlighten me.

I'm no good, sorry but I am progressing. Thank you for your patience and thank you again for your help.

Have you installed the cabinet.dll file (step 7)?

Do you run your display settings to display extended desktop, main window 1 to the left (playfield) and backglass window 2 to the right?

Any one else go some pointers for this one? rolleyes.gif

Step 7: YES
for the two screens so well.
Surprising when I leave my finger on the left click of the mouse, I move the DMD, the score is visible but disappears when I remove the finger.
I'm going to bed, my wife will leave me.
I know you like I'll be testing 2 other screen tomorrow.
I do not understand "Any one else go some pointers for this one" even with the translator.
Thank you again soon and for good news

Thanks mate!

Nice to see that another one from the same small country had opened the toolbox! biggrin.gif

I´m right up collecting parts for my build. Going to get my wide body cab (Judge Dredd) as we speak actually! yahoo.gif
It´s heavily stripped down though. But as my workshop area is very limited, I guess it justifies the pricetag. (1500 SEK cab + legs)

Sorry for the OT! laugh.gif

Höres!

Check with people at Svenska Flippersallskapet

I bought my cab from Abatic. It lacked of many things (coin door, siderails, lockdown bar and glass missing(!))
Don´t think they have any widebody cabs. right now though! blush.gif

YES YES YES Giant
Thank you thank you thank you I am super happy.
I managed to run a few tables (blackout great), but not all.

For some I pinmame who works in the small rectangle, but nothing in the protected parts of the backglass (Kiss).

For others it is an offset between the figures and protected parts of the backglass.

For others the backglass does not meet fully the second screen (harlemglobe)

I'll do more tests this week, unfortunately I have little time and my wife hates you all.
To succeed, I deleted everything and I started using the 182.06 drivers (8600 gt card).
Thank you again for your help, I have a few weeks to develop, I hope to be able to do a tutorial for dummies in French.

Would you have the same tutorial for tables 16 / 9? those where the playing surface appears with the backglass on the same screen. Because unfortunately there are still a few tables full screen. Thank you thank you ....

If the table does NOT use DMD (dot matrix dispaly), like flash gordon, back to the future, radical!, bad cats, black night...
you want to hide the movable scores, and show them in a static position on the actual places on the backglass.

1. Check the script and change '.hidden = 1' (add this line if it is not there)

Also add this code in the end of the tablescript:

Sub Leds_Timer()

Dim ChgLED
ChgLED = Controller.ChangedLEDs(&Hffffffff, &Hffffffff)
End Sub

2. Make a timer object by pressing the TIMER button on the left (clock icon).
Also make sure you have the options panel to the right showing. If not, press the OPTIONS button in the left panel.

3. now click somewere outside the table and a timer objekt is created.

4. Now, in the options panel to the right, change the timer name to LEDs with the Timer Interval value 50

5. Compile and save. -> DONE! laugh.gif

A magician since the time I dream of this pinball.

THANK YOU THANK YOU

If you go in France CHAMPAGNE!! It's not a joke.

You will say that I abuse, but as you find a solution to all my problems.

How to edit tables 16 / 9 (enlarge to make disappear the backglass useless)?

What is the difference between UVP and active backglass?

If you do not know is really not a problem, the principal is already super top.

Thank you again and congratulations for the forum and the site

Good to hear that you got it working! cool.gif

The difference between UVP and active backglass is:

ACTIVE BACKGLASS acts like an animated sequence with (not sure here) 16 pictures in a loop while

UVP controls the lights in the backglass using the ROM file. Just like a real pinball!

The best thing is that UVP dosen´t use more memory. Think it´s less then Active Backglass actually! (correct me if I´m wrong on something here guys blush.gif )
So, there´s nothing to think about. Go for UVP!!

If you want to change a table to FS, make sure the table is ANGLE INDEPENDENT or the static reels will be quite ugly when you change the perspective.
Check JPSalas own site if you want table who is angle independent here

(You can also change the view of a 16:9 table (spanned), but then you have som backglass and other stuff to remove.)

I got an example for you to try. Download his Theatre of Magic VP9 2.02 table here

1. Load the table in visual pinmame

2. make sure that you click om the 'OPTIONS' button to the left. Now a options tab should be visible on the right side.

(If you cant find the options I show you, you may be in 'backglass view'. In that case, check this button which is located near the OPTIONS button to the left to go back to Playfield mode)

3. Now, change the excisting values to this ones.

Inclination 45
Field of View 0
XY Rotation 270
X Scale 1,9
Y Scale 2,34
X Offset -355
Y Offset 475

...and leave the others as they are!

4. Save table, and run it.

(Don´t remember, but you may want to remove the DMD at the top.
Just click the decal (image DMD) and press delete.)

This will bring the table from 4:3 to FS view! yahoo.gif

Try a different table and see if you can do that. Remember that the four valuses of X and Y is the ones to play around with as no table has the same scales and offsets!

Good luck!

drinks.gif Take it easy with that champagne!

Bonsoir,

1 - The test is done from a table, 4 / 3 ?

If it's good food that I used, I get "Could not create offscreen surface".

2 - This problem also happens with another table (cirqus voltaire) without having changed anything.

3 - On my terminal, it was enough to turn the table in another resolution, and after returning to the original resolution. But not here, What is the method to use when the problem "could not create ..." appears?

4- Can be used without the uvp hyperpin?

I just did a test on another machine, but ultraserver it can not find files. In the top left of the table there is a rectangle that can change the backglass. Like them when they made an error in the names of different files with hyperpin installed and that it is launching visualpinball directly.

I think I'll be lazy and wait for the establishment of UVP and FULLSCREEN.

Thank you again for your help.

Bonsoir,

Sorry I use a translator

For some tables facing the problem "could not create offscreen surface, just sometimes:

1 - change the resolution and then back to the original.

2 - uncheck the 'Graphics Rendering Hardware' in 'Colors & Formatting'. it works for some but not all at home. ATTENTION I do not know exactly the consequences of such an amendment.

I changed the table (TOM) using your data, it now appears well in full screen, but slightly offset to the left.
What are the coordinates to move to modify the set to the right?

Thank you again for your advice, Good games!

bonsoir,
