JPSalas - innovative table design and attention to detail. He has a unique visual construction style which adds a lot to the games he works on. Those are JPSalas' posts, rubbers, wire ramps... He was creating transparent ramps in VP8 with 20 or so thin, standard ramp objects. He is also a very good artist. His F14 playfield redraw is nearly indistinguishable from the Ultrapin/GlobalVR version. This is to say his work alone rivals that of paid professionals. Jim said that he's never seen a better Class of 1812 playfield image. Every one of his releases shows that he put his soul into it, and he should be proud of every last one of them.
-destruk What can you say about this guy-everything he does is done with STYLE, his work on his most recent tables are outstanding, the attention to detail is top notch, and his collaborations with people like GRONI are the best yet, I've never played a JP table that I didn't enjoy.
I've never spoken to him personally, but I bet he's a top bloke!!! -subzero1970 I learned how to create tables from JP. I always loved his attention to detail. I also loved the Teamwork together on JPG-PINS. Without his work, I guess VP would not be what it is today! I respect him very much. He is always friendly and always helpful! Please keep on doing what you are doing, 'cause you are one of a kind! And alot new people will also learn alot of things from you!
-GRONI JP is a VP innovator. He has come up with quite a few new ways of doing thing and I am always amazed at the level of detail on his tables. He is always willing to help out others and share his knowledge. Many many thanks JP!
-wtiger What can you say about jpsalas, he simply sets the bar for quality, quantity, and consistency. His tables are like the Rolls-Royce of the community. The Papa Smurf logo means that you are getting the best possible table recreation known to the community. Yet he manages to do all this without growing a major ego and always remains friendly and helpful to all members of the pinball community. In short, he is the man!
-rascal Wow! What a great attitude and influence JP has had on this community. The quality of his tables are second to none, and he seems to constantly raise the bar. If it were not for some of his efforts, I probably wouldn't have given VP a second look. JP might also be the most humbled and respectful author in the community. Bravo!
-UncleReamus Jpsalas has always been a top class act, and his timely entry into the scene bringing with him a talent for first class tables - cutting his teeth on a few classy originals and then moving on to some of the best recreations ever - is one of the greatest boosts this scene has had at a time when it needed it most. Without him, the virtual pinball scene would not be what it is today.
-anthias Suddenly JP was in our community.
He had brings us fresh wind. New angle view for example. Many people using them now and our tables looks much better now.
If you have a problem, he answers at once and give you the needed help. Thanks for all your fine tables and these one's they coming up. -TAB I've known JP for a few years now, since his first few table really and the thing I like most about him is his alacrity - he is just so down to earth and friendly and most of all that he never forgets that pinball is just a game and this is just a little hobby so we should never get too serious or obsessive about it.
We've worked on a few tables together of which I am very proud and it's always been a pleasure because we both just get on with what we do and send stuff back and forth. I guess I'm ok at the fiddly details and tech stuff and he is so solid with the building blocks and the understanding of all the quirks of VP so it's always been very easy to get on. We've always managed to find solutions between us and it never ceases to amaze me how quickly he can build something! With so many authors inactive these days, the community owes JP a huge debt of gratitude for the dozens of tables he has made. Here's to you JP! ¡Salud! -highrise A true 'Gentlemen' within this community .. enormously Talented, Friendly, always willingly to help others, always polite, open to suggestions and new technologies (UVP), an impressive list of recreated Tables already and a very nice list of VP Tables to re-create in the future!
We all can't thank JPSalas enough for his amazing contribution, without him we would not be where we are today! -Flying Dutchman JP Salas has always given 110% in all his table recreations that he has provided to the community. His work has always been 1st class.
Not only that, but he has always been a great contributor to the forums, and an all round likable guy, that has time for fellow pinheads. -pinball buzz Before JP came along, we thought some tables looked great, but we soon realized the sky was the limit. He changed many of our field of views, he created those beautiful posts from ramps, he added the cabinet to the backdrop making the table larger, he made a beautiful plunger.... He simply had a tremendous impact on my VP playing experience. He also is very generous in sharing his table objects.
I just wish he wasn't so darned Smurfy. -Bob5453 |
