I'm noticing that the pop bumpers aren't lighting up on my end. I'm also seeing this on other peoples videos of your table being played on youtube. Is this a normal function of the table because they're lit up on your screenshots.

I don't know why I'm having such an issue getting this table going.  I keep getting a  vbs error, and I'm following everything to the letter, it's really not that hard!  I'm pretty sure when I change the txt letters to vbs the notepad pic should change but it doesn't - that's the only part I'm not sure about.  Any help would be appreciated, as well as sending me the vbs file!  Thank You!!!

Did you add .vbs to it. If you forgot the . it will not work. I forgot to mention you need to save to all files also when using notepad.

I installed it as instructed, but the way the lights are turning on is strange... :wimper:

Some areas are lit up where they shouldn't be, and some areas that should be lit up aren't... :wimper:

I know you're busy, but could you please repair it ... :Worship:

Hi JP, just for information, which VPinball version do you use ?

I'm still running 10.8.0 and perhaps that's the reason why credit is not registered !

If 10.8.1 is needed, the last version on GitHub is v10.8.1-3788-2151290 from August 7, 2025, correct ?

I made this table using VPX 10.8. The tables made with 10.8.1 cannot be opened in 10.8 :) So, VPX 10.8 is the one you want to use :)

You need a newer VPinMAME, the latest beta 3.7, at least this revision VPinMAME-3.7.0-263, as I explained in the release text. Gerrit (gaston) and Michael (mfuegemann) worked on the emulation to get all the features working. So, get the latest VPinMAME :) Don't be afraid to update your VPinMAME, since this beta 3.7 is 100 times better than 3.6 :)

The spcship.txt needs to be renamed to spcship.vbs. And to do that in Explorer you need to be able to see the extension .txt, otherwise you will simply rename the file to spcship.vbs.txt and that won't work.

So, to do that in Windows 11 go open Explorer, Click View on the top menu bar. Select Show, and then click on File name extensions to check it

You can keep the spcship.vbs in you table folder, but better to copy it to the Scripts folder.

If you do these steps then the table and rom will work.

I don´t know about this VpinMame release but, I had some issues with some tables eg. "Creature of Black Lagoon". The ROM voices sounds was not working, only music.

I will check again

When I click on the link to GitHub, I get the page below and I can't see any VPinMAME-3.7.0-263 on it !

:D

I'll explain it the best I can :)

1.- First you need an account to Github, which it is free and there are no problems doing that, no spam, nothing :) So, log in (sign in :)

2.- On the main page at the top find the tab called Actions and click on it:

2-actions_t.png

3.- now you'll see a page with the latest & hottest downloads :) Scroll down and look for the word vpinmame this is the tricky part as it is written in very small characters and you have many similar names, pinmame, pinmame32, libpinmame, xpinmame, as there are a lot of builds and different downloads:

3-vpinmame_t.png

4. click on the title of the build, in this case it is called: LibPinMAME: add pinball plugin support this is the name of the build, usually a very short explanation of why the new build. A new page will open and you need to scroll down to find the download of this build. And you will find 4 vpinmame builds:

4-downloads_t.png

I have selected the SC version which is the version to use with color roms, but you may download the 2 other ones if you prefer.

There is a 32 bits (x86) and a 64 bits (x64), I have stopped downloading the 32 bits as I only use the 64 bits programs now.

5 unzip the zip(s) into your vpinmame folder overwriting everything.

And that's all :)

Did you add .vbs to it. If you forgot the . it will not work. I forgot to mention you need to save to all files also when using notepad.

I didn't change the file to .vbs correctly so when I put it in the .vbs folder it didn't work. I did it again but right this time and everything worked!  Thank you for your help as usual.

Thanks to akiles50000, Gaston, mfuegeman and of course you JPS. This is really a nice suprise and good playing pin.

I'm not sure, but, there might be that for 10.8 the vbs script mentioned is supposed to be in the VP\scripts folder and that for 10.8.x it is best kept with the table.

Some of the work the devs has done is as you know trying to make VP work on many platforms. And in that process they recommend keeping tables in a very different way than what we're used to.

I did put the vbs into VP\scripts folder and on desktop I first and foremost to test on 10.8.x (will soon be called 10.9 I believe). I got the vbs error message. I then started 10.8 without doing anything, and there where no issues.

I copied the vbs scripts into the tables folder and re-run 10.8.x. No errors and the table ran. This is not 100% like what is mentioned on github though : https://github.com/v...s/FileLayout.md

According to that, I should have made a subfolder scripts - but, well, it worked so ...

There is an ascii art - explaining how you COULD do it for the future, and where it should work better for all platforms. If this is finalized or not, idk, still under development.

From now on. I won't help anyone here at VPF. Please ask Noah why that is.
