Olá

Já rodei essas mesas anteriormente e elas funcionaram bem.

Eventualmente acontecia um erro de execução da bola quando caia no fosso do castelo e não retornava.

Atualmente tenho jogado na edição abaixo sem nenhum problema

MedievalMadness_Upgrade(Real_Final).vpx baixado do VPuniverse.

Eu utilizo as ultimas versãos vo VPX

VPX 10.80 - edição 2051 64 bits

Vpinmame 3.6 edição 1227

DMDextensions 2.3.1

FlexDMD 1.9.1

Backglass server 2.3.1

Mas mesmo em versões anteriores e antigas  como VPX 10.7 nunca tive problemas.

Informe o tipo o de problema que você está tendo e as versões dos programas que você está usando.

Isto ajuda bastante.

I checked those Medieval Madness tables you mentioned
https://www.vpforums.org/index.php?showfile=15354
https://www.vpforums.org/index.php?showfile=11874
https://www.vpforums.org/index.php?showfile=11742
https://www.vpforums.org/index.php?showfile=11877.
and https://www.vpforums.org/index.php?showfile=11664 and it’s strange that none of them work properly on VPX 10.8. It might be an issue with script compatibility or missing ROMs, especially when running under Ubuntu. Maybe try an older VPX version or wait for the creators to update the tables for 10.8 compatibility. Hopefully someone who’s already tested this can confirm what setup worked for them.

Lots of talk about v10.8.x.

Are VPX v10.7.x Tables not backwards compatible with new version?

Flashers on some 10.7 tables are really really bright.

I stumbled into the scene recentley so started with 10.8 64bit.

Lucky for me. But there are lots of working 10.7 that go fine on my cab.

Most of the 10.6 and 10.7 tables that I have work fine in 10.8, just have to lower the reflections (playfield reflection strength, ball reflection of playfield, default bulb intensity scale) and perhaps bloom strength.

As for MM, the VPW version available at VPU is clearly superior so go for that one if your system can handle it.

Runs fine on my old PC after limiting the maximum texture size to 4096 (my GPU only has 4GB VRAM).

The best way to play a vpx table is still to use the vpx version a table was made with..... everything else is trial and error

So table was made in 10.7? Then use vpx 10.7

Was the table made with 10.6? Then use 10.6

Here is a nice playing version made by G5K & updated with some fixes by LoadedWeapon that is not as demanding as the VPW table. medievalmadness(2).jpg

Latest tables from VPW are not so demanding. On laptop with i7 9750H and gtx 1660 ti, 24 gb ram all tables running very smooth. And MM from VPW is MUCH better than any other version of this table.

Nice Nvidia card (at least the Desktop version is). I had a GTX-1660-Super in my old pinball-cabinet-computer but I gave that whole machine to my grand-nephew to play games on. Anyway, that's a good model-number for it since it benches just below a GTX-1070 (at least the non-TI version does).

So VPW (as you mention) are VPX Tables from a specific VPX-Table Developer Group ... VPin-Workshop, and they mainly release them over at VPuniverse?

Just for the record, my PC consists of an Intel Core i7 2600K, 8GB DDR3 Ram and an Nvidia Geforce GTX 980, so 2010 era motherboard, PSU, CPU and RAM and a GPU from 2014.

Resolution is only 1280x960 but I'm still surprised that I can run almost all tables smoothly, with only a texture size restriction necessary on some high-MB tables.

This is while running frame pacing at 85 FPS, max AO, max Reflection Mode and 200% supersampling BTW.

The only tables to really give my system trouble are two originals, CyberRace by Flux and Dark Chaos by apophis.

I think it's something about the (insert) lighting activity or coding that brings my CPU down.

As for VPW, they typically release top quality stuff but they're not the only ones over at VPU.

UnclePaulie, bord, Mecha Enron, Flupper, EMUnderdogs - just a couple of names that stand out but there are more.

Have a look at the VPU's Staff Top Picks category and see what you think.

@xVector same here for Cyberrace, can't find a setting without stutter but for Dark Chaos you could try the 10.8.1 beta BGFX version - didn't fully install it, just extracted the .exe and .dll so as to not interfere with my existing install but then MUCH improved performance, and finally playable.

Yeah, exactly. And this is the real stuff you should look for if you want to get modern, top notch virtual pinball feeling. nothing else.

Plus there's the wonderful and genuine stories of Salvation from victims/survivors of non VPW/VPU sourced tables that accompany every release from those guys. Heartwarming stuff from the home of

The Greatest Table Ever Made of the Week. Why are you even wasting your time here reading this when paradise awaits ?  Make sure to use sanitizer when you leave this filthy place behind.

Thanks for the advice onedevotee75,  and I'm sure nobody here will be offended by being labelled as second rate or mind you plugging another site.

Hahaha, good one, bigus1 :D

I just wanted to add to please do not use 10.8.1 to try to solved any performance issue as that version is not ready for beta testing yet. Please use the 10.8 released version until 10.8.1 is ready for beta testing or even out of the beta fase, unless you want to report bugs.

And all the versions I have of Medieval Madness work fine with 10.8, even bigus1 mod :D
