Thanks for your replies
I tried again this morning, deleted the nvram file, closed VPinball, started again, played and it worked !
IT'S ALIVE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Perhaps it can be because the first time I deleted the nvram file, I pressed F3 after restoring factory settings instead of closing VPinball ?
And I also replaced the rom file by Wiesshund's one, can it be the rom ?
it was probably the F3
F3 reboots the ROM, but it does not do anything for the table
so any parts that perform initial setup etc in the tableinit, well they dont re-init from F3
Usually, for Me, F3 just winds up leaving the ROM and Table kind of disconnected from each other.
My ROM is mostly just a merged ROM, so you dont need to drag the parent ROM around, but has a supposedly newer audio rom in it
the original audio rom is in it also, you will see it named .bak
So you could flip it back to totally 1996 stock, just by switching the names
I can not honestly tell if the audio is any cleaner or not, they all are notoriously crunchy when you set the volume up beyond about 3/4.
it's the mb_s2.rom file in there
i usually wind up running a rom by itself with pinmame, and hitting ~ and then tinkering with the individual audio processor/channel levels
seems to work out better.
For some ROMs like black knight, it is the only way to turn up the music, with out screwing with all your other audio
@Biggus
I got a ball stuck, during franky's multiball
Not really sure how, but one got stuck behind the left hand tesla coil, by bride of franky and the mad doc?
could not nudge it out.
but the table let me open and close the coin door to retrieve the stuck ball and continue playing
I did not get it stuck again, so it has to be kinda rare i guess?
I think it may have been inside that translucent blue assembly
i could just barely see it move when i nudged
was in desktop mode so i could not see it better than that
i gave it hell trying to nudge it out, since i had lost all the balls anyways, i nudged the hell out of it
could see the ball move and hear it roll and hit stuff, but could not get it out
I think maybe Doc and Bride did it on purpose, since they though it was really funny to occasionally grab my flippers anyways
