Thank you Loserman, Akilles50000 and JPSalas. I've several times wondered where you guys get your resources from. This and many other tables is barely mentioned on ipdb. Continue, and people should download VP instead of looking at ipdb for information ;)

From now on. I won't help anyone here at VPF. Please ask Noah why that is.

The impact of the wheel was already weak in the VP9 version, but here the ball rolls over the rotating wheel virtually without any effect.

... thats right, some "Magnet Triggers" are missing, like in the Fireball Table ...

not sure what you mean by missing magnet triggers. It looks to me like the original VP9 version was set up just like Whirlwind's spinners are which I then transplanted to my VPX build. It might be something that needs to be addressed in the cvpmTurnTable logic which controls how those things work.

-edit - ok I looked at Fireball. That table was done very differently without the use of the cvpmTurnTable logic. So here's a question - what do you see with Whirlwind? Do the spinner on that table behave poorly as well? I can certainly look into using the method from Fireball to do the wheel, but personally, I'd like the existing cvpmTurnTable logic to be able to handle it - makes the code so much cleaner.

But it doesnt anything with the Ball Direction ? ...

I only meant the Triggers in Fireball, yes.

well, the object does flip the ball around. I've had the turntable in wheel throw the ball right to the outlanes or down the center. but I think it all depends on the velocity of the ball. if it is moving very fast (ie just hit by the flipper) it won't do much, but if rolling down the table into it while it is running it will "catch" it

I see you used a strength of 40 in the turntable. In my Diablo table I also used two turntables but I used a strength of 90 to really push the ball. Maybe try increasing the strength until you find a value you like.

I just did a few games, and i found out that the wheel impact indeed depends on the velocity of the ball. When the ball comes slowly (which is rarely the case), it will indeed be "grabbed".

So the rub (pun intended) lies in the different physics between VP9 and VPX, i guess. The cvpm method probably seems to be more suited to VP9.

I've already experimented with other values, but to no avail.

I need to look closer at the cvpmTurnTable and see if there is a way to improve that. If not, I'll go through the fireball table and figure out how to rework that code/logic/objects to work in this table.

I've even tried a value of 500! No change.

Albert - try this table out and let me know if you see any difference in behavior. I made a change to the trigger that the spinner uses and it seems to me like it throws the ball around more now.

The diameter of the trigger is bigger, but for me the impact is still the same.

STAT, what is your opinion?

… tested, seems to be a bit better now for me, but of Course not at a fast Ball …  :)
But also didn't check any Videos from a real Machine, how the Disc should be.

ok. I'll start tearing apart what Fireball does and adapt it to this table. Thanks for testing

Albert/Stat, please try this one and see what you think:

I've broken down what Fireball's wheel does and re-done it for Wheel. Seems to throw the ball a lot more now. If this one is good, I'll go ahead and post it up as the official updated version.

Now that's a difference!

Now the game behaves like a real "Fireball" (i've seeen no video of "Wheel").

I suppose that one can call the way you've re-done it just "perfect"!

Thank you again!
