Hey Future pinballers,

For those who do not know his work, you should check it out since they are awesome and if not the best.  Not all are currently available but he is looking to release more updates.

I would have felt better about this idea....if it wasn't branded with the end-state ultimatum...

 

Don't get me wrong... I get it... he puts in a tonne of time making these tables. More than 98% of the people out there will ever know. I know better than probably anybody, because I need to reverse engineer those tables to add DOFLinx / SSF / PuP to them. So I get him wanting others to help out to spread the word instead of him taking time to do that. He said himself he's not the most sociable guy there is. I also get that he wants some kind of feedback on his work on YT when he sees other channels related to VP that do very little, if any work to create anything getting way more views. My channel only thrives because of the work I do in sharing links to my videos in various sites and FB groups.... and also the tutorials I do.

 

If he wants more people to see his channel...then he really needs to NAME the channel SLAM's Pinball Emporium to match his site.

 

Say what you want about this idea which, I was honestly a little pissed when I first saw that post (since I DO spread the word about his works more than anyone probably)... but it seems to be working!

 

If he made announcements about table releases...or maybe added some FP tutorials and change the channel name (you can't find him by searching YT) it would get a lot more attention. 

 

If people believe he is releasing what he shows in the channel (which wasn't the case for a long time)..then they will take an interest!

 I honestly wouldn't expect Blade Runner anytime soon as its an original, and probably not considered a "complete" game yet. We may have a chance at the Halloween table in October...but who knows...

Terry, I understand your sentiment and agree with you on all your points.

 

You do and have done a ton of work integrating DOF and I would like to personally thank you for all you've done for the community.  You are the main reason why I started working on a DIY pinball cab.  You are also the reason why I started reading on FP, BAM, VP, DOF and how I found Slam's pinball tables.

 

As for Slams goal, it would seem that his current motivation right now is to upgrade and share his creations to the world.  So I understand why he would like to see if anyone is still interested in FP and his tables.

 

People like yourself and slam work on these on your own time and then share your creation for free.  That in itself is amazing.  And I think that is why it is so important for everyone to spread the word as much as they can.
