Brian is simply the most important guy of VP recreations. When this "project" was still in its development state and new important emulation was still about to be introduced (like the Williams System 7 tables), of course I consulted Brian. I wanted to have those tables so much. And of course Brian helped in every possible way. We got all 4 tables (Black Knight, Jungle Lord, Solar Fire and Pharaoh) done in a record time (from minimum source material). If there was a problem, Brian fixed it. It was really one of the high points for me.

Of course Brian has done so much more. I have no idea how many tables he has been involved with, but I'll hazard a guess that the number must be nearly 200. Can't say enough about this man, I have a great respect for him. Maybe I have annoyed him a few times with my "straight shooter" type of comments but I think we have still remained good friends.

I don't know how much years I work together with my very best friend Destruk.
When you go back for 7 years there was not much to find about technical documentation of machines. But he get's all working. Once he has leaved VP for a while - was my sadest time doing all alone. But we have nearly each day contact.
Is there any good more to say?

Brian has certainly been the greatest influence on the VP community since its beginning, in my opinion. A lot of what we all enjoy today would not be possible without his energy, time and devotion to this community. Without his help and support, I probably would have never gotten into working on tables in any way. I'm pleased to call him a friend and a mentor, someone I've greatly enjoyed chatting with on a regular basis. Cheers to a standup guy, and an irreplaceable talent!

For any of the older community members, we all have to acknowledge that no one has contributed as much to VP as Brian has.
Table author: at one point in the not too distant past, probably contributed in some way to at least 60% of ALL tables released (and I think I’m short changing him with that 60%!)
VPM: Yep, also assisted the VPM team in getting more tables emulated.
Administrator: Led the old VPF at one point and convinced me that we could all have a role and contribute in our own way to the betterment of our community.
Developer: A pioneer in creating these awesome mini-cab pin conversions.
Current developer: nice to see he’s still contributing to the app itself with the release of VP 9.03!!!

When I think of how many have benefited from this community and hobby, I know that at the top of the list, Brian sits. Thanks for everything brother, you’re appreciated by all of us!

Brian is truly a gentleman and a scholar. He is "the king" of Visual Pinball. His contributions to the scene are immeasurable. He's simply a legend. If you enjoy VP, then you owe Brian one big 'thank you.'

Over the past year I've gained a lot of knowledge on VP and add ons through a very sympathetic, direct (almost the 'Dutch Approach' ) person called destruk.
Always there when you need him, always in for some constructive advise and VERY knowledgeable on what he does .. let's not forget his amazing contribution on VP Tables builds! With or without counterparts! And his additions to VP itself!

Destruk is the greatest guy there is. In my early days he has helped me on my way. Even had a lot of patience with me when I was hammering for an answer on a question. He helped me to create my first dipswitch menu and many menu have followed.
Always the first with new roms and willing to share them with me. That way I can offer them to all the others for download. That takes a load of his already bend back. Great guy to deal with.
I hope to visit him some time, but USA is so far away......Who knows.... sometime....

Well, Destruk...The Grandfather of Visual Pinball. Always friendly and very helpful!
My very first Tables I have played were Destruk Tables. I was impressed what is possible to code in VP. He has a very big knowledge of scripting, and he finds a solution for almost every tablefunction. Also he never stops working on VP, and enhance the quality of the Program. Without him, VP would not be, what it is today. So please keep doing, and never stop what you do!

What can I say about destruk? Without his work I couldn't have done anything. I learned all I know about vpm from him or better said from his scripts. I'm sure that without him we should never have had a working VP/VPM like we have today.

We wouldn't be here, and VP would never have expanded in so many different directions, if it weren't for Destruk. It's as true and ongoing today as it was back in 2002.

Without Destruk there'd be no improvements to VP9 and the countless scripting and being on the PM team, he's a VP trooper and hero! Good job on the interview too Noah!

For a less technically adept guy like me, it's hard to grasp how good Destruk really is, a lot of what he does seem magic to me! I really like his dedication to the goal of emulating every existing machine. I appreciate his helpful attitude, I think it takes a lot of patience and tolerance to be involved for so long and still find the time and decency to answer endlessly repeating noob questions. So I really take my hat of to you Destruk! And I hope you stick around for a long time, you're a big part of the reason that I can enjoy my favorite virtual pin hobby!

I'd say that pretty much sums it up. If there was a Mount Rushmore of VP, Randy and Brian would be guaranteed entries. To me, those two are the two I think of when I think VP.

I met Brian in 2002 and have worked on more tables than I can count with him. He is a great guy and VP/VPM would not have advanced to be enjoyed by the thousands it has without Brian.
My hats off to you! Thank you for the past 7 years of enhancements, instruction and your friendship.
