Wow. You don't have to even post any kind of meaningful message for people here to shit on you. You can merely upload a table and they will make 50 posts insulting you.
I have found that people who have skills, talent, do not troll or tear down people. They apply their talents and mind their own business. They are respectful, not challenging or insulting to others.
Those that attack me or others do so because they have no talent or skills. When they insult, i try to shed light on the reality, ask them,"what can YOU do?"
YOU, all in caps, means YOU, the person insulting and challenging others. But they always respond "I KNOW SOMEONE that has made 3000 pinball machines, won three super bowls, went to the moon twice.."
Whatever..
But they are not YOU, are not part of your team. YOU are the one here throwing insults.
I dropped a table here suddenly on a whim. I had never planned on uploading it before so i didn't think first about the people here who might have installed VP in a different location.
Many tables here, requiring ROM file and PinMame are pretty much stolen from those who created them. These table copies don't always play like the table they represent. Plunged balls fall in same place every time. "Monopoly" has no score..on "ball out" a dot matrix slowly displays ".........BONUS.......BONUS.......BONUS....."
How many insults and mocking pictures do these table authors, their family and friends have to endure? Any one I tell about my table will see me bullied by a mob. I could do photo-shop and totally destroy people here much worse than they do me. I am busy on important projects, don't have the time or motivation to argue with idiots.
VISUAL BASIC has commands that tell you the root directory of the current program. VISUAL PINBALL has many less commands, and may not have a way to find the current directory. It is not in my reference files, and would be hard to find if it existed. I might have installed the hi score file on the C drive instead of the hi folder provided, preventing an error.
Why should I care to look for any command and try to make this table work for every person who installed VP in an odd folder? They were profoundly ungrateful for the existing work done...
Had I designed this to be sold on the market, it would answer to a single root directory, chosen upon installation. The installer would store the root directory the same way the hi score information is saved. without folder issues, this table is completely BUG-FREE. If that makes you cry yourself to sleep at night, so be it.
