Hi gang,

Just wanted. Just registered today and was wondering if anyone can help me with Flyers and Screenshots for Visual Pinball. I'm doing OK with tables and clearmamepro, but I'm missing tons of flyers and screenshots.

I did a search here for flyers, but came up empty.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank You
Steve

Did you try http://ipdb.org?

Also, you can take your own screenshots pretty easily.

Hi guys,

Thanks for the suggestions. I've looked at ipdb.com but those screenshots aren't passing the clrmamepro CRC checker. I figure there are "official" pics of the flyers somewhere that will pass the CRC checker.

Bob, as far as that site, those links aren't working for me, they appear to be dead. They refer to the old vpforums.com website. Perhaps they're here now? I tried them before posting earlier, but thank you for the suggestion.

Steve

There are pinball flyer images at both the IPDB and TAFA. If you could give of more information regarding the site that was the source of the DAT that you're using in ClrMAMEPro and the name and source of the collection for the DAT, someone might be able to give you a more meaningful answer.

Good afternoon,

I acquired the .dat file from:

http://www.romshephe...om/dats.php?pin

The name of the dat file .zip is "Visual Pinball Recreated Tables (2009-01-05) (72 KB)"

For example, I tried using the 2001 Flyer from TAFA, both the thumbnail and the full image and neither would clear the clrmamepro audit. I could save the thumbnail as a .png or a .bmp. The full image would save as a .jpg or .bmp

The missing rom is labeled as: 2001 flyer.jpg [size:1576992][CRC32: e1ac03ff]

I don't mind using the TAFA flyers, they look spectacular, I'm just wondering where these other images are that would clear the audit.

Thank You
Steve

Slavefett, I managed to find the VPLauncher files on an old backup hard drive; VPLauncherRules09-02-02.exe, VPLFlyersInstall.exe and VPLScreenshotsInstall.exe; that used to be hosted at COM on redirect from the VPLauncher website. The largest file is 216.4MB, I'll upload them tomorrow after I get FTP setup with Noah. I still don't think these are the correct files for the DATs from the ROM Shepard site. I compared the 2001 flyer file in the set I'm going to upload to the information you've posted earlier, it's 135kb not 150kb. Are you trying to compile sets to join the torrents affiliated with ROM Shepard? I am familiar with that tracker site; though I don't have the most recent torrent collections from that site, just the ones from last Aug or earlier. Give me more information as to what you're trying to accomplish.

That has to be one batch of outdated screenshots, but the flyers would always be good.

I have over 600 meg. of table screenshots including recreated, original, future pinball, as well as flyers and they are all up to date. Way to many to upload but i could burn them to a DVD if anyone wants them.

myklejay, don't worry about it. In the future if something like this should happen, just let one of the staff know and one of us will take care of it.

How does the front end (vplauncher) know what screenshot to allocate to what table, if i take my own screenshots, how should i name them to work correctly? For instance, In my mame system running emuloader, there is a folder with all of my screenshots, and one for cabs and side art ect. how does emuloader know what artwork to show for that particular game?

Thanks all
